I don't really want to sell this but I need a geared mountain bike so it has to go.

It was brought off ebay about 18 months ago from the original owner. He had raced it in the junior worlds and kept it in the loft since.
Its an Columbus SLX frame with Cinelli Lugs from about 87/88. It has its original Campag Cranks, BB and Headset. It comes with the Original Cinelli Criterium bars and a Cinelli stem (shown in the camera phone photo) and a Campag quill seatpost. The Wheelset is 32 hole Campag High Flange Record Track Hubs (Original) on Campag Omega V rims.
The paint is ok condition for its age. It also has a ding ( very shallow dent and chip) which I have taken a picture of.
It comes without chain, pedals and needing a new rear tyre.

I found that v brake plate had quite a bit of flex in it, so i fitted a regular brake booster plate which reduced the flex a lot. Using jubilee clips to fasten it instead of zip ties makes it difference as well.

Its all a bit of a mess though, I would ask around to see how much you can get some mounts brazed on for since its a frame you will keep for a while.

My clotter pin cranks on my commuter/beater gave up the ghost last night.
I'm after a cheap pair of old road cranks to replace them, Urgently!
