Just wait five seconds and it will close anyway
Not always - I've stood in a Tesco customer lift with half a dozen people all waiting for the doors to close ( probably thinking its broken again π ) until some clever person ,usually at the back reaches round* and presses the close door button.
So there.

They really are such ignorant, ill-educated vermin.
Ah that would be the eternal foxes/cats/pigeons 'debates' that brings out the full range of 'shoot the evil bastards ' Ted Nugents camp to the often very reasonable but fluffy and inarticulate environmentalists . Loads of 'I'm just expressing my opinion no need to be rude' tedium.
You can have some fun with it but don't get too smart arsed - tailor your responses to your audience and they may let you stay.
I thought I'd package a few recurring topics into a foxes discussion - my contribution went like this -*I saw one of them foxes looking at my car in a funny way the other day so I reported it to the police but typically they weren't interested.*Someone replied that I should be reported for wasting police time.
Quite childlike really.

Devastating news from my daughter in Glasgow yesterday.
They had 2 house cats that had never been outside all their lives. Soul showed no interest and no attempt to get out but Luna was always trying to investigate the outside world.
They used to live in a first floor 'tenement' flat until 2 weeks ago when they all moved into a ground floor maisonette with a big garden.
Luna got hit by a car outside in the quiet street and died.So so depressing π’

Iβve never done well with them
Me neither - every year or so I give them a go but this year they were grown in 35 cm pots/tubs in a very rich compost mix* and fed with comfrey and Maxicrop liquid .
They were growing in a mini polytunnel but it was a pain to get to them and got no ventilation so I cut one end off the tunnel and moved them just outside.- multipurpose and 6X

R.Hobbs or whatever he's called now on here put me off the Swytch a couple of years ago. *
Something to do with the number of people with missing front teeth he'd had in the shop.
I did have a demo ride on a Brompton out at Swytch Hackney Wick HQ.
