Could I get some advice on fixing/replacing my rims.

Open pro's onto formula hubs. Went straight into a curb at night, stayed on but put a small dent in both wheels. Pretty pissed off!

Not an issue on rear as the wheel is still straight, but on the front I use a brake and it bumps every time it hits the lump on the rim.

Is there any chance I could fix it or would people recommend a new wheel (A new rim/build will cost me more than a second hand wheel i think).

I'm either looking for people to knowingly tell me the rim is fucked, or that I can simply fix the rim, or that they have a cheap front wheel (black open pro) that they'd like to sell me.

The silver and block CARLTON decals were used in 1977, and I also have a 1980 bike with those details. Carlton, as you may know, closed up Worksop in 1982.

Great find! It's very similar, geometry also looks pretty steep for a road bike. I really like the decals.

Nottingham canal ride was great fun, interesting keeping skids straight.. I tend to push more on rear than pull on front which skews things.

If you do a conversion and get all the bits separately it'll cost you lots of money, Or it did me, slowly getting bits online etc. The price people sell second hand bikes with some ok parts is crazy... buy a complete bike, if you enjoy it then embark on a building one.

Picked up a Karrimor Gridlock bag, which seems to be the same as the Freighter... but without the reflective tabs on straps. It's very solidly put together. LBS £30 second hand, which seemed like a good deal.
