Selling my Long Haul Trucker, I was planning on touring this summer but found a job instead. I'm off to Australia so i'll have no need of my touring beasty.

It's a 58cm long haul trucker in blue:

Ultegra group, with 105 cranks,
Gobi Fizik saddle,
Ridgida Grizzly 700c Carbon coated rims, on XT hubs,
Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tyres,
FSA110mm alloy stem,
TRP canti brakes,

I've now got a Nimrod rear rack and Carradice Super C's, which i'm selling.

£650 for the bike
£750 with the panniers and rack

Collection in Nottingham or Norfolk (Diss). I might be able to come down to London too...

Thanks! I don't have a dummy lever, I had got used to having them since riding geared bikes. So maybe I should, no hills round Norfolk tho, so it's less of an issue.

Temporary wheels, chain and seatpost. Hopefully buy some nice bits for summer. Also i'll sort some bar tape.

How much was it? My parents live just outside chesterfield, and I will be looking for a decent frame renovator soon.

£270 for both seat stays replacing, un-sticking seatpost and stem and repainting/decals. Oh, and postage. Never got to go visit the shop, will have to head by next year some time.

Thanks, it's the 58cm. Which feels long for me (5ft 11), i'd probably be best with a 56cm but i'll see how it goes.

Drive is ultegra rear mech and shifters, with 105 cranks. Seems pretty smooth, but i've not really tinkered much.

Surly Long Haul Trucker project,

Need a shorter stem, but generally happy. Going to fit out with racks and panniers for touring in the spring.

Rides very stable and smooth.

Carlton has returned, it's been with Edison cycles since late June,he carried out the repairs quickly but then had problems getting someone skilled to do the spraying and adding the decals, I think he's done a fantastic job. Ended up at £270 delivery included.

Carlton has returned from having replacement seat stays + a respray/decals

I'm looking for a touring bike, which i'm setting up for some euro/world trekking next year.

Looking for 54-58cm, with pannier mounts (front and rear for preference). Solid and reliable, would be happy building up from a good frame, but something with decent set-up considered.

I've been searing for Surly Long Haul Truckers, Trek 520's and Cannondale T800's (in that order of preference). Or similar.
