I’m afraid this isn’t a very happy post. My parents cat Hobbes was hit and killed by a car today :’( he was only about 18 months old. I’m still in shock - just had a call from my dad. He was such a sweet cat - chatty, affectionate, actually sat on our laps occasionally (their previous cat was very much not a lap cat).. he came and stayed with me a few times and was so well behaved even though he couldn’t go outside here. My parents live on a little cul de sac and it’s a few gardens to the (not very busy) main road, but people do drive quite quick along it. I guess he was just unlucky :( I’m going to miss him so much! RIP Hobbes x

Can anyone give me some advice on colour correcting scanned colour negatives? I've been using my DIY dslr scanner for B&W but just tried it with a couple of colour shots and struggling to get similar colours to what the lab sent back in their scans (which I think look more natural). For example with this image the hill in the background looks too blue but the trees on the right look too warm. I'm using capture one - I can tweak curves separately for RGB, and do global temperature and tint adjustments, as well as tints for shadows, mids and highlights. I feel like a lot of these adjustments overlap / interact which makes it difficult to know what to do exactly. My scan has the film border.
