Good for a laugh, I still feel awful about what could have happened to the rider behind me (he comes quite close to hitting the curb). I didn't really know the route and took a bit of a bad line over the roundabout, I tried to tighten my turn up a little and the front wheel just went. I really didn't feel it was that risky and suspect something greasy on the road (or at least that's what I like to think).
Feel free to post in the bad cyclists thread.

Written by the cycling lawyer who has an interesting blog too

tldr
It is suggested that it is neither right nor wrong for a cyclist to wear or not
wear a helmet. It should be a matter of personal choice leaving the blame to lie with
the person or persons responsible for the collision. -
Thanks, Toby. We're actually very well aware of that sort of issue. Just like those advocates in the US, we give recommendations, no more. Implementation and detailed sign-off is always entirely the task of paid and qualified professionals. Not only does this mean that qualified people do the job, but it also saves us a lot of work. :)
I'm just glad that the guy making the complaint got what he deserved. Normally I like to think engineers create value and lawyers aren't interested in anything but money!

relevant considering the changes to junctions proposed by the LCC etc.

My knees aren't what they use to be...
Some details
55 ctc Seat tube / 56 ctc top tube
531 Special Lightweight (It really is fantastically light - I have another 531 pro frame which seems to be made out of scaffold poles in comparison) No dents or dings
Sugino 75 BB / crankset and 48t chainring
Dura-ace low flange track hubs / Mavic SUP ceramic rims / 16T dura ace sprocket / Deda RS Corsa tyres
Nitto S65 seatpost
Shimano 600 Aero stem
Nitto noodle bars
105 brake calliper and cane creek cross lever
Slightly torn san marco regal saddle in brown suede
Campag record headset
Only ridden in the dry when I could help it / well looked after by engineer albeit not a cycle one.Would like something geared in good nick. I have one of those modern plastic road bikes already so wouldn't mind something from the 90s.
If I don't find anything I'll put it up for sale.
