She’s here, she’s met all the family and she’s now asleep in her crate.
We took her to the garden as soon as she arrived, and every 20 mins or so, no action unfortunately, but then did both types of business inside in sneaky moments. 😥
Day 1 so to be expected I suppose. Hopefully with taking her out immediately on waking she’ll get the knack.
Salt beef and subsequent Reubens probably my holiday highlight. The beef was a Gilbert’s picked up in kosher section of Tesco on a whim when they’d run out of ham. Sourdough homemade, sauerkraut and dill pickles home fermented, gruyere and Russian dressing made from hairy bikers recipe.
This is the area we have ready. We were planning to put widdle pads on the floor in front of the crate so she can come out on her own at night, a la that Zak chap.
Our new puppy is imminent. We’ve had conflicting advice on the first night - do we leave them alone and let them whine it out in their crate or sleep next to them and comfort them? I know what feels right, but any practical advice?
This years mead is going into this. (Bottle just for scale). White oak, medium toast, 20L. New barrel so I expect the first batch will be quite ‘grippy’ but subsequent batches should be about right. We’ll see!
Wellllll since you asked 😬
