Hey slamm, yeah it was you, I seen you around a couple of times, sorry just getting used to the way this forum business works so my late reply looked very random indeed. I remember your ride, sweet, its the hubs that do it. My bike is still running nice, I too have adopted a nice low ratio for easier stopping with no brakes, working great until I heaved my carcass away from the lights the other day in the wet, broke traction massively and very suddenly (short wheelbase, when it goes it goes) and fell straight off like a twat. He he I guess I don't know my own strength. Going to sell the islabikes soon, will be sorry to see the back of such a distinctive and fun ride but I just don't want to ride a super-aggressive track bike every day and my next project is in the wings... ...so the dreaded auction site awaits her.
