New years day hangover prompts me to post here as an effort to cast my net wide.
Anyone here play clarinet to a reasonable standard? :
Nice tone, capable of holding some very prolonged notes, the odd gliss' and playing very quietly.I'm looking for a clarinetist to work on some slow and relatively sparse music, I suppose in a post-rock, post classical (??) vibe.
PM for proper details

My flatmate is after a road bike, horizontal top tube rather than a step through.
In the region of 50-54cm top tube and 50 seat tube (could go smaller here)
Ideally after a budget option, but wont rule anything out initially.650 wheels considered.
Ideally with 160mm or 165mm cranks.
Anything out there?
Cheers

Following a disaster with my sisters bike I'm after a frame and forks with canti mounts.
700c, reasonable tyre clearance. would consider a 27 incher if it came with cantis that you know can be lowered enough for 700c wheels, or don't mind me testing.
60 cm seat tube, 56 cm c-t-c top tube (ideal dimensions, but could go larger as we'll both be sharing the bike)Paint condition irrelevant, but must be structurally sound.
My expectations may exceed my budget (IE close to zero), but if anyone has something that they have had as an unfinished project for years and want space before christmas please let me know.
Can collect around London.
Cheers

Apologies if this has been covered. I'm actually sure I read it here a while back, but I can't get search results that match.
Anyone got a London to Brighton off road route?
I'm aware the BHF do a charity ride, but I don't know the route for that so if anyone has got that or their own version that would be smashing.
Cheers

Pictures up.
These would also be good to get some increased clearance and mud brakeability for a fixed wheel bike for muddy hell, without radically altering the handling.

Selling some forks I bought, but don't fit my requirements.
Steel, tourquoise (the photo makes them look blue) paint with a few marks etc.
1 inch threaded steerer, 22.2cm long with 6 cm of threading.
These are 'cross forks (ie no mud guard or rack braze ons), but with clearance for 28-30mm 'cross tubulars, or 32mm road slicks.
you will NOT get a big cross clincher in there. My michelin mud 2s (which measure 32mm across) rub the crown. They might also appeal to polo players who want to get a V brake on the front.
I paid well above the odds for these so know I wont get my money back, so how about £25ono?
Cheers

THIS IS BACK ON AS THE NEW CHAP LOST HIS JOB IN THE INTERIM:
A large double room will be available in my flat from 31st October, Sublet at £485 per month all in.
Ones months notice. It's a 4 bed flat in West Norwood, quite an unusual and interesting set up:

We'd prefer someone that finds the place exciting rather than someone that needs a room desperately.(I'll get some internal photographs up very soon.)
Sharing with a male (me) and 2 females.
Looking for someone mid 20's to early 30's. Non smoking (although we have a huge balcony on which to smoke). Sorry only a single residency, not for couples.
Bike friendly, gay friendly.
We all work in the creative industries (oh how I hate that term), so don't lead a weekday 9-5 existence. If you'll be annoyed by storage boxes of theatrical and lighting equipment coming and going this isn't a flat for you, nor is it a party house, although our parties do tend to be pretty good.Under 10 minute ride to the velodrome and excellent public transport for those not commuting by bike.
Give me a call for more details and viewings etc.
Don't PM as I'm no where near a computer all week.Cheers

Pretty sure it was Cycling Weekly.
About ten years back, though.
Yup It was, (possibly 7 years ago??? as i think it was in the days I used to ride a bike for money)
I remember standing in borders reading it, whilst keeping dry during an almighty downpour.I liked the photo of him with his rollers set up in front of the fire place.
@matty
romantic....
as in romantic period? If so no. Totally contemporary, but I dislike using the term contemporary classical as it comes loaded with certain baggage.
As a reference the group Cloggs may be appropriate to what I want for this project.
In an interview x amount of years ago they referred to what they do as post-classical.
Do you play by any chance?
