I think protest and civil disobedience are important if you want to change the world, but I firmly believe that accepting the consequences is an important part of civil disobedience and what gives it its power. Hence why I will respect H.D. Thoreau or Gandhi's followers or the IRA or the men and women who fought in the Spanish Civil War or the White Russians or the kids who took part in the LA, Tottenham, Brixton or Paris riots and not the activist in question.
Chris, did you get someone to proof-read your posts or have you gone back to school to learn spelling? Even the capitalisation is spot on.

I agree with äsm, university is full of people who shouldn't be there and who are lying and cheating themselves through the courses.
Extension? Yes, please! Why not?
Or the old classic "I couldn't finish my coursework because I had a pregnancy scare."
Oh, yeah, but for getting completely rat-arsed on a Friday night there is always time. Fucking lazy student scum. I can't wait to get out of uni.

Yeah, I have have spoken to him multiple times today and yesterday and I think the message is sinking in. At first the suggested things like "We can make things work by seeing each other less" and he said he'd pay for counseling.
He will be moving out soon (was planning to anyway). He's obviously unhappy but seems to cope better once the initial shock is over.

Cavendish said the following about his teammates: "They're superb, really intelligent guys and efficient too."
He makes them sound like nuclear physicists.

Fixxed:
if it's a normal Shimano type using a Surly Fixxer

How does it stop the freehub from turning when you resist the pedals?

Right, the wedding is next weekend. I have all the tunes.
The last thing I need is DJ software for my Mac. I mean, iTunes is almost good enough but every now and again I would like fast forward a little bit into the song rather than start playing at the beginning. Also, being able to cue up songs is nice.
Can anyone recommend something basic? Doesn't need to be free. Advanced features like pitch control, beat match and whatnot are not required.

There are two ways of installing the cassette to the hub:

If you have a freehub it will be impossible to convert to fixed gear. If you have a thread-on hub you can make what is called a 'suicide hub'. The suicide refers to the fact that you can't use a lockring and the cog will come off if you pull a hard skid. You can make it a little bit more secure by using loctite to glue the cog onto the threads but that's not really safe, just a little bit less than certain death. If you go down this route I recommend you use 2 breaks.
