Don't get this, had it less then a year and it started to splutter and crackle due to a random leak, Morphy Richards customer support was a joke, as I didn't register the guarentee within 4 weeks of purchase they completely washed there hands of me. Avoid these jokers, currently smashing out the tea with one of these bad boys and very happy with it.

Re. Dropped kerb, my mum and dad bought a house in '81, garage at the back in regular use, dropped kerb, the lot! One day (after being in the house for 25 years) the council come along and raise the kerb because proper permission hadn't been sought by the building firm at the time so Dropped kerb defo does not mean permission had been sought! Folks had to spend a couple of grand getting it dropped again :(

I posted about this camera mount a couple of months ago, the camera mount is now for sale but you can see a review of it here, seems to be getting a good reception.

its the seller's choice to accept any offer (or none) anf it doesn't have to be the highest one. Once accepted that's that unless the offer is conditional on something e.g. further
In my experience (of buyin 1 house in scotland), once the bids are in, that is it! No comeback, and no chance of getting gazumped! Once a bid is accepted it is usually a dead cert that you won't be outbid at that point! As you say, Best and Final actually does mean Best and Final!

Speak to your broker, in my case the valuation fee of the mortgage company was waved as the home buyers report stated the value and they were happy enough with that, it is also the sellers responsibility to ensure the home buyers report is up to date, also, read it carefully as some of the assesors hardly do anything for their money, our house was all 1's, but we found rotten window frames which are in dire need of fixing.

It's all driven by standards, for our work we use API 6A and API 5CT which cover subsea equipment, tubing and drill pipe and the most analysis they see is by hand calc for tension, burst and collapse. As all our stuff is temporary installation fatigue isn't too much of a problem and we aren't asked for the absolute values so we just have ceilings that we work to but with the new standards coming in that will change so we are looking to standardise more components so we minimise analysis. Sorry for rambling, still early!
Living heart project looks pretty cool, be interesting to see the applications for it!

Are you or your university a member of NAFEMS? they have heaps of resources and the like, although I expect you already know that! Good luck with getting experience. On a side note, I work in the oil industry doing susbsea intervention work, soon (well, could actually be ages, have been hearing about it for a while) to be introduced is a new standard, API 17G which calls for more extensive FEA testing of designs and design by analysis so that should be a market opening up further in the future for your skill set!

Not sure, don't exactly know what the standards it adheres to consist of so don't know if it is designed to fail in a certain way to avoid damage/injury or if it is stiff enough to be considered part of the wheel assembly, in which case you could end up with a broken camera or it may throw off your steerer. It looks like it's designed for road use primarily (well that's what all the pictures are of so far, that and Greig who designed it is very much a road bike rider) so I think the chances of clipping something are minimized. I wouldn't use it offroad as that would just be asking for trouble!
