i'm loath to continue this lame lame thread but i still can't find them. mains fuse is in the entrance hallway but the breakers for lights etc are not. i've checked all the cupboards, wardrobes and possible crannies. twice. flat is managed by a lettings agent and they're closed today. hmm. buys candles.
Hmm, that's where you'd expect it. You might not have flippy-switch breakers if you're looking for those though - it could just be wired / cartridge fuses like these:
, possibly behind a flip or screw-off panel, but then you'd need the right fuse wire or cartridge fuse depending on what type it is anyway. -

I agree with you on the SS and running only a front brake, perhaps so it looks like a fixed, stupid.
I'm gonna be charitable, I bet lots if not most of the freewheelers with one brake aren't trying to pretend it's fixed, just that they've seen lots of people with drivetrains that look like theirs with just one, they don't know why but it's obviously the done thing.

I need a poo.
List of POO's:
- Dysentry - runny, and can kill you
- Constipated - hurts your harris on the way out, red-faced huffing and puffing

Warning: POO
A list of poo!

Obviously there isn't a lock that are 100% less likely to be cutted, the only difference is how hard/easy it is to break it, that flexible lock get cutted easily with tools you can get from B&Q, the Evo Mini however required a bit more than a simple cutter to break it.
Fah Mini and Evo Mini FTW.
Depends on where you have to lock up though, if there's only hefty lamposts or telegraph poles, no railings etc, then a d-lock isn't going to be much use.
Just thinking that one thing doesn't suit everybody.

Oh FFS
You lot have a go at the poor guy for not pressing return every once in a while
Easier to criticise on presentation than content? There's a gem of a cliché (you'd hope) in there that hasn't been picked up on
Oh, and it wont get stolen cos I got an m16, and all our local chavs know it.
Right.

Not plastic, but Shimano do some single sided SPDs at least:

They sound a bit awkward to me though? Dunno

You can wash anything in a washing machine. Except suede, oops. And loads of other things no doubt.

(No warranty supplied, not least because i've never used debian or ubuntu on anything that had more than a text console display)
The error sounds like it's bitching that it's not happy with something about the current install state
of packages - at a complete random guess (which is all this is) maybe something you tried to install before didn't end up being marked (as far as the package management stuff is concerned)
as properly installed and configured. That's what the dpkg manual page ("man dpkg" or http://www.wlug.org.nz/dpkg(8) ) suggests:
"dpkg --configure package ... | -a | --pendingReconfigure an unpacked package. If -a or --pending is given instead of package, all unpacked but unconfigured packages are configured."
So, and again this could well be wrong, I'd reckon try doing "dpkg --configure -a", if it's ubuntu with the graphical desktop you'll probably need to open a "terminal" window and do "sudo dpkg --configure -a" in it, which might just work or might ask stuff :
I hope this helps but I hope more someone who knows Linux/Ubuntu more than I do (my job's unix stuff but sadly only ancient no-graphics stuff on FreeBSD) Google might help with any error messages though, I think Ubuntu's got better forum answers than most linux distributions)

Hi Aaron
This is a handy tool for working out gear ratios (and no of skid patches and cadence=>speed), even if you're not going to change it's interesting
http://software.bareknucklebrigade.com/rabbit.applet.html
I can't remember where I read a list of "recommended" gear inches (sheldon brown maybe/probably, and on here) but I think mid 60s to 70 odd is what people say to start off with, but i could be wrong. I thought the opposite to you - started with 48x16 which is too high for me, going to change to 48x18 or 19. Good luck!
-
f you're thinking about how much it'll cost, it'll vary depending on the airline. From America to the UK I know British Airways and Virgin Atlantic don't charge anything, Iberia (don't know what other arlines do America to Spain) charge 75 euros. They'll probably all want it boxed or in a bike bag (though I've seen an assembled bike on top of a pile of luggage at an airport) Probably best to check the airline's website and if that's not clear about it phone or email them.
Bet it's probably a nightmare if it's not a direct flight or there's more than one airline involved though, but I dunno.

Have a good journey! I'm in a great mood because I did the reverse journey this weekend for a wedding in glasgow (well, ish, Hillington/Renfrew so, well, ish on the border) and had a fantastic time. So no relevance to what you're doing at all really other than feeling happy and wanting to say nice things, heh

No. He needs to blog more though.
