Its not perfect, its way to flashy and tacky with the roof. Its just gonna suck up more and more money trying to make it what I want. This one i just posted is the look I really like and my one is not a cooper its a sprite. And it would cost me £8K to insure as its a 1.3. A city with a 998c would be much cheaper no?
EIGHT THOUSAND POUNDS?!! Whhhhhhaaaaaattt? If it's 8k to insure a 1.3 a-series, I can't see a 998 A-series being much cheaper. Theres only about 15hp difference. In some cases a well set up 998 can have nearly as much power as a 1.3 SPi or MPi engine.

R2S might be able to provide more insight.
Late to this. Not sure about taking bikes in. Didn't see any in there on saturday but did see one of the guys go mental the moment anyone stepped on or over the tape that borders the cars. Not sure how they'd be with a bike wheeled around the inside.
Think I'm out for this tonight too unfortunately. My dad isn't coming down anymore so off to a gig in Camden.

That video is grim. Mind you, with the standard of driving and the antics that go on over there, I'm surprised it's taken this long for me to see a video like that.
In terms of revival, If there was a spare seat and I could get tickets I would be all over going. It's been on my to-do list for years but living oop north, I was never orgainsed a year in advance to go. If such a thing is available, consider this a dibs!

Amazing. 200bho in that would be great fun! I like the look of it better sans wings but it's a lovely looking thing either way!
Went to the BMW Art Car exhibition this afternoon. Great stuff, especially the competition cars. Just found out my dad is delivering a car down to Chelsea on Tuesday and is coming to stay on Tuesday night so going to take him along.

Just a little bit ridiculous, gets more so about halfway through when the camera man pans.
hahahaha, rolling deep. Love that somebody turned up in a pink Rangie!
I re-watched the episode of Clarkson's Motorworld the other day when he was in Dubai. Crazy car culture! -

Hello there, it was nice to meet you!
It was me by the traffic lights across from Byron. Think I preferred your bike :)
Finally, my first successful spot. It's only taken 9months of living and riding in London! hahaha.
Good speaking with you. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your steel framed bike in the future! -

I get the feeling that my mother is being given a raw deal- they've offered to scrap her car for £200, I thought the scrapper typically paid you for the vehicle?
Pretty sure, with the way scrap prices are at the minute, she should be getting paid for the scrap car rather than the other way round. Sense a bit of leg lifting going on here which is a bit much since they're writing off her car and giving not a lot as well. Do a bit of ringing around and see what a scrap man will offer you.

Golf. Thing is it is LOVELY to drive and that engine is what it's all about - BUT it is starting to show it's age in places - the wheel arch and drivers door and sill are rusting, the tailgate paint is blowing. There is bulging under paint around a couple of windows. It's just going to keep on needing money spent on it and I'll never make back what I've put in so far, let alone spending what they want to get it fixed just now
Dunno.......I could just get a bland thing for £200 a month on PCP and be unhappy :(
I know what you're saying. My friend has a Mk3 VR Highline and that has continually needed work over the last few years. That sounds though!!
If you're goingto spend £200 a month, don't go for something bland. Plenty to be had that's fun and interesting.Mk3 Golf are a bit of a nightmare for rust and as good as the VR6s are you're now at that point where it'll need continuous work (just of the body work let alone mechanicals).
Quit while you're ahead and spend the money saved on it's continual upkeep on this!
That corrado is lovely. I had a G60 Corrado a few years ago and I loved it. I still wish I'd bought a VR though. MInd you, if you think running a mk3 Golf is tough, try buying parts for a corrado. The front wing was rotton on mine. I thought it'd be fine and that I'd be able to get a pattern panel. Wrong! Even with discount through VW, a front wing would have been £250. I just left it.
