Looks awesome @M_V Love the look of the Snowflake front wheel. Those cranks and that spider are incredible too! Makes me realise I need to get my Trailstar out of the shed and get that back up and running.

Yeah I prefer the position of the weeride over a rear mount bike seat but it does mean I have to ride in a wide leg stance.
The Big Smokes are great. Could maybe do with being a touch wider but thats probably the psychology of having wide bars on everything. I was tempted by the Nitro HiHi bars but Blue Lug have been put of stock for a while and they are a good bit more expensive.
At the moment I'm keeping the Sunrise bars to try on another bike but if I do decide to part with them I'll let you know.

Congrats! Yep dad bike for our 19 month old. He's starting to feel comfortable in it now (and me with him riding in it) but not sure how long that will last.
Bars are BLB Big Smoke bars. I previously had a BMX stem and Surly Sunrise bars on it but the TT is short and it was quite cramped. Feel much better now.

Cheers @zazkar @vpCogworks I'm pretty happy with it.
Also made some updates to my Tequesta. The precious cockpit (surly sunrise on a top load BMX stem) looked great but made it quite cramped. Updated with a generic 25.4 stem (painted with sparkle clear coat because sparkle clear coat) and a set of BLB Big Smoke bars. Feels so much better now. Currently the bike with the weeride bar fitted too.

Cheers. Good spot on the first page too. Seems there have been a few e-stay frames on here.
I'm not into the massive text and stupid name but really like the tread pattern on the tyres. I was going to throw a pair of Panaracer Comets on this but as it's never going to see dirt, I thought this would do better on these. The panaracers have gone on my 97 Tequesta. -

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this. I've always anted to build a JMC-dirt era style dual bike as they looked so cool and were really just small framed versions of XC bikes bitd. Agree that Quadra's wouldn't be the right fit. I have a set and they are too vintage for this kind of build. What about cheating slightly and getting a later fork and badging/painting it to look like a classic Judy?

Glad to see you still building and that it seems to be helping you in some way. You've really got an eye for it and these builds all speak to that. The Bob Read is incredible and has a nice story to it as well. Glad it went to someone who's looking after it.
Incidentally, I found my copy of Rad Rides last week after unpacking boxes following a big move. Your builds in that remain some of my favourite BMXs of all time, the highlight being that Standard 125. Don't stop messing with bikes.

Nice collection of bikes and I like what you've done with the space. Curious to know your thoughts on the Bootzipper. I was dangerously close to ordering one before christmas when they looked particularly appeling in the black friday/pre-christmas/early boxing day sales but in practise its probably a little too close to my Straggler in terms of what it does. Doesn't stop me wanting one though.

Cheers @jambon - I'm in Newcastle
Thanks for the ideas @withered_preacher and @hugo7 - don't want to hijack this thread but will definitely take those points on board. Once I'm in I'll start a plan and probably create a thread on here so will probably have more questions for you!

Great updates as usual. Seeing pictures of the CRF makes me think that if I do take the plunge with a motorbike finally, something like that will probably be the thing I go for. Looks so much fun and means you can kind of take other people in cars out of the equation somewhat.
Just bought our first house last week and the 50's garage isn't big enough for a car so right now I'm trying to plan how I can turn it into my workshop for bikes (and possibly motorbike)

I had exactly the same feelings with a set of 650C Spinergys that I got last year. Always wanted a set and they looked great but riding them, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was on borrowed time. I ended up selling them and using some Bontrager Race Lites. Ended up finding a crack in the headtube so in the end I probably should have worried more about the frame.
This looks great!

Bike looks awesome. I had a Rocky Mountain Equipe when I was in Canada as a town bike and the frame was the nicest thing about it.
The bike looks so good with the Pace forks but if it rides better on the Spinners I'd throw them back on. Whichever you go for you're on to a winner as the bike looks great on all 3.
Are the renthal bars something you can still buy new or do I have to start looking for vintage pairs? -
Thanks!
Yeah I'd echo @ElGonzo . I'm 5'7" and I usually go for around a 16" frame although it varies a bit with sloping top tubes. I reckon an 18" frame should be good for you.

Also found this fairly recently. The GT was meant to be my dad rig with Wald etc but I failed to notice the fact that the Planet X forks had no eyelets or brake hole so this rough and ready Orange Clockwork 10th Anniversary will take on that job. I've just got some semi-slick tyres for it and I have a Wald 139 to fit along with some other bits and pieces.

This is local to me. If it was my size I'd be all over it like a rash but I'm too short
