A genuine Merckx frame, not Falcon licensed tat. Panto'd seatstays and fork crowns and Campag dropouts. With original forks and decals, some chips here and there with its age, but no dents or dings. Straight and true.
All in, a beautiful top steel road frame, that was a joy to ride until I had to finally accept I was too big for it.

Caught a guy in the act of nicking a saddle on Broadway market a few days ago. He was yanking a brooks out of a girls frame. Stopped as I was cycling past and started asking what he was doing. He was "locking his bike up" apparently, then started to try and lock his bike to the girls saddle through the saddle rails...
Called him on it and told him to do one.
Any saddle around those parts not properly secured, it's only a matter of time i'm afraid.

I've got a single new unused 36h rim going if it's any use...
http://www.lfgss.com/thread103079.html - PM if interested.

Got a set of these going if they're useful to anyone. Were swapped out from an off the peg bike after a 100miles or so, so barely used.
Seems a waste to chuck them, so if they're of use to anyone - you're welcome to them.

I popped down to this the other day..
Big haul, but mainly completely beaten up pony MTBs and a lot of kid's bikes.
Only things of note were a Bianchi frameset (looked alu nirone in green and pretty big) and a Silver Condor few years old. If that's any use.
There was this bonkers bike called "springer" which was orange and they'd built springs into the seat stays and forks for "suspension"

Looks like the Met Police have just nicked a cpl of fellas found with a haul of 250 bikes on Chatsworth Road, Clapton.

Seems they're arranging a viewing day for the lot, def worth following up on if anyone's still chasing the return of their ride....

Just had some w@£4er try to steal my hub (white industries eno) from my rear wheel outside the Scolt's Head by de beauvoir square, Haggerston. The wheel was d-locked (evolution) to the frame, which was d-locked to the bike stand. Whoever, cut the spokes, fortunately cut it with something that does not appear to have been too sharp as there are a few spokes that are still 'connected' with indentations. Thankfully, I have the bike, the wheel and the hub...also, thank you to the French samaritan who gave me a beer as I walked home with bike over the shoulder and wheel strapped to my bag!
Jesus. WAC. There's absolutely nothing you can do about that either...we don't all want arrospoks.
Scolt head / haggerston pub / duke of Wellington. Anything in that triangle is under real threat. Even read on this thread about a guy who was caught sitting at a bike with his toolbox stripping the whole thing. :( -

Does state motorists will get hit too, presumably for encroaching etc. Lets see how that pans out. Gonna be some expensive commutes.
