Very sorry to say I can't make this now - it's my final MA hand-in on monday and I had hoped to be further on with the work than I am. It's got to be a weekend of slavery for me!
If you all still want to head to the pub I recommended, the Dolphin, here's a mapTo get the bikes in the garden you need to use the side gate, which is down a little alley to the left of the pub as you face it from the street.
I hope it's a great day - genuinely gutted to be missing out but I fear it's the only option. -

So I was in Canterbury this weekend and visited the pub I have in mind to enquire as to whether they'd be happy to host us. They have a good back garden with a side gate (meaning bikes don't have to go through the pub!) and are pretty happy for us to pitch up there on sunday afternoon 31st. Only main drawback is food - on sundays they only do roasts (and not the cheapest) and utterly refused to allow us to bring our own food in ('It's the brewery's policy etc etc.') So we'd need to feed before hitting the pub. Of course the garden only works if weather's good, and if it is then we could just go to the park anyway with food and drinks from the shop, which would be cheaper.
Opinions? If we are up for the pub I can let them know we'll be there, or we can leave it as provisional. -
