The headset i put in recently took me 2 hours to tap tap tap the bottom bearing race in alone... it was a right mare !

You can't tell untill you try whether it will go in or not, but it would have been a million times easier to go to my LBS

Also could be that your spokes were twisted torsinally i.e the spoke itself was twisted and suddenly it untwisted itself, hence how it quickly became 'wobbly' again......

Eno hub would likely mean he could not use the lovely Carbone wheel set as (I think) they have proprietary lacing at both ends of the spokes.

But he could always get an eccentric BB if he wanted to run it as a fixed/SS with those wheels.

Don't you need an oversized BB shell to have an eccentric BB ? which this bike hasn't got ?

ye I'm looking for a 16t 3/32 fixed cog as well, but it doesn't seem that anyone has any... or they might be keeping them...

I can't believe no one has complained and had stupid metal drain covers replaced.
They're right in the cycling line on so many streets.
In Oz they use concrete lids or lay tar over the metal ones.

have you also noticed that some drains, the ones nearest the curb have a perfectly sized channel/slit for your 25c tyre ? They are equally bad....
really is piss poor design to the bikers, why can't people design such things with some ounce of thought ??

put the wheel on your bike, turn it upside down and use the brake blocks as lateral truing gauges.
Works every time.
Built wheels like this also.
Truing stands just make it less awkward, that's it really and gives you an extra edge of preciseness, but with practice it's all gravy

mavic rims are prone to cracking apparently, i had the exact same thing happen to my Mavic ones although i don't have a picture to prove it.

Velocity and Dt Swiss rims are less prone to crack... well, thats what a pro wheel builder said in his blog.

Because he used banned drugs to rehabilitate himself from his illness, you know all credit to the bloke for getting the better of cancer. But i feel after all that he had no place in the pro peloton because of what he used to get better... when you consider that other riders have had their asses kicked for high caffeine levels, had their careers ruined and even comitted suicide because of the media pressure.

Because people are so blinkered into beliveing that the TdF is the only race on the planet and have hyped him up into somthing he isn't... his career pails into insignificance when compared to Eddy M..... and he can't ride vertical like Alva.

the drugs he used just happened to be illegal. It's called EPO which promotes red blood cell production.
It's necessary to take during and following chemotherapy to increase/sustain the blood count since chemotherapy dramatically reduces the amount of red blood cells produced and kills them off too.
Since Armstrong received a barbaric amount of chemotherapy, his blood count i suspect was deadly low, hence why he had to take it.

i think it was admitted to the cycling authorities by his doctors and manager as he had no choice but to take it for health reasons, not sporting advantage.
