Has anyone had bad experience with this seller? i.e. Is there a good reason for me to ban him permanently?
I've been advised that he had failed to dispatch some items, but would like some first hand information before I ban him.
don't know about banning but certainly i bought a few things off him, took a while mind.
Bought some cxp33. in good nick he said. I say they are more square than round. Not good. Not a happy customer.

haudralics are a pain in the ass, and the fluid would probably dissolve a carbon frame if it spill were to happen, im guessing it could, certainly the paint and plastic parts would be vulnerable.
If haudralics break half way into a long ride, fixing it is less likely than with a cable brake.haudralics are good no doubt but on such exposed things like bikes, i don't believe they provide an advantage across the whole user base for the reasons i stated above.
Downhill racing and so on, absolutely, anything else it's inapropriate.

Just bought this on a whim today in a french second hand sports shop. It's a bit of a mix of bits and bobs but rides pretty smoothly. Probably keep it built up as fancy a bit of road riding. Paid €199. Did I do well?

Any advice as to things to look out for before I'm flying down a hill and it's too late? Carbon fork cracks etc?Brain Columbus Tubing.
Total bargain and rare too. Don't see that tubing that often.
upgrade to Record not to Sora (Sora being a downgrade actually), that what you need to do, or if it rides fine, just leave it. -
I love the amount of thought and engineering that has gone into these. They are highly engineered to be light, stiff and powerfull, and it is interesting to see how that has led to trade-offs in other areas.*
[insert main body of text]*
I'm not digging into these because i don't like them, i do. I'm digging just because they fascinate me.
nice one, just goes to show how interesting brakes can be if you look hard enough.
I for one had never contemplated any of what you said about brakes before, so i learned some new things from what you said.
Thanks. -

Why would they want my old computer and what would they do with it? It doesn't work hardly?
they say they want and old shitty PC, give it, and take the £150. Read the offer. There are conditions, see if you meet them, and if you do your quids in. They even offer to pay £10 towards sending it in the post.

sure i'll fire a few off. Gimme a min.
I have my prefererances and everyone else will have theirs, but i always thought HP Business models to be very good in terms of no frills apperance, no marketing markup, no bullshit, full of the good stuff that people need rather than usless stuff made to make it sell better to clueless.
i have a 7 year old HP laptop, that's still faster than my other halfs computer wheich was bought 1 year ago. problems = none, not one issue. Amazing really.

Build my own PC? I am guessing that is a jokey reference to people being told not to buy an OTP?
Let me explain: I do not know what a cache is. I do not know what Linux is. I only found out today that there is a difference between having Windows XP and using Windows 7 or whatever it is that popped up after my computer crashed. I thought they were the same. Is it becoming clear how little I know? And, really, I don't even want to know, not right now anyway. I just want a computer that will do the very basic things I need and not cost much money.laptop it is then. Laptops do basic very well (nowdays for £300 it often can do much more) and have the added bonus of being portable and use much less electricity.
we'll exist, and archaeologists will have a field day.
