?
I think you have not read my original post, or read it and not understood what I am aiming to do.
Agreed, always an option.
aha, you'd be using two frewwheels. pardon!
somehow i assumed without a doubt in my mind you's be using fixed one side and frewheel the other.your plan could work then, in theory, but the design is not so elegant.
Have you considered a coaster brake ? if they do them for rear sprockets ? im sure they do somewhere.

a ped on Oxford street di the same, she looked one way, the wrong way and plundered right into my path.
Next thing that happens is that all her bags in one hand, filled with designer clothes, chocolates , you name it, hooked onto my drop levers and swoooosh!! they went everywhere!
ANd i mean everywhere.
Her stuff was all over the place.
I helped pick her stuff up, but she was lucky not to have worse me thinks. close shave. -

your plan wont work, unless your figure a way to selectively lock and unlock either the driveside and non drive side so that only ONE crankarm is operating at any given time.
Otherwise the larger gearing will dominate the drivtrain, and besides to enable your system to work you would have to physically make the rear wheel spin in reverse. I know people like Chris Hoy have strong legs but i think thats out of the question even for people like him.
invent a rear hub, fixed- fixed, that you could selectively chose either driveside or non driveside. It probably wont be popular cos it will be heavy, but this is your idea.
A viable alternative is to get a back brake. :)

bike helmets are pretty pointless, i could be wrong, they may keep your head dry.
For any proper protection against moving cars you'd be better off with a motorbike helmet.
Some of you may disagree, but a bike a helmet just seems to be a clumsy scrap of synthetic stuff perched on my head, when i did try one , a long time ago.
You'd still face plant, chin plant the same with /without a helmet and break your face to bits.
This justifies itself enough for me to not wear one. -

..........buy a box 100 DT Swiss Competition
spokes 290mm and find that you have loads left ??or
.... about to buy a 100 box and you'll have loads left after finishing with them ?
If so I'll procure them off you if you be so kind.
I'm currently building a wheel and i only need 36, don't fancy buying a 100 cos i wont have any use for the rest of them.
why thank you
