A while ago a driver with one of the TfL "I am a twat" stickers in the back of his car, pulled out without looking and almost had me off. I coughed. He had his window open and jumped out as I avoided him and started shouting at me. I stopped. He continued ranting and eventually asked "Do you want to do something about it?" I swiftly replied, as I rode off "I don't fight with mini cab drivers". This seemed to inflame him more but by then I was gone.
Moral is, ensure you can get away and NEVER use any form of force other than to protect yourself.

i may be a chelsea fan but i'm a football fan first. it seems 'fans' latch onto some kind of regional tribalism (especially when they are economic migrants from the north of England relocated to the south) this seems to skew their judgment much the same way as parents view their wonderful progeny that others see as spoilt brats.
i grew up in a area with no football 'heritage' to speak of so the saturday tribal meet of thousands of locals never existed for me and football wasn't watched in our working class household.
I started supporting chelsea after moving to london. the reasons were: it was my local team and i liked the way Hoddle played and managed them (having noticed what he had done at swindon).
to castigate the club for the way it does business when every other club in the league either has a rich benefactor or would jump at the chance to have the same amount of cash is just allowing your unyielding support to cloud your judgement and ignore your own teams "negative aspects".i probably don't even qualify as a proper fan as i can't be arsed to spend £60 on a ticket and would rather ride my bike and watch MOTD instead.
what i'm trying to say is that you are all cuntz. (except clive)
If you would like, I'll take you along when i next have a spare ticket.

Liverpool, ManU, Man City, and QPR have all been bought out by huge financial interests since Abramovich came on the scene and, if they are to stay in the game, Arsenal will follow shortly. What it has done is to have secured the Premiership's position as the top league in Europe where we see the best players in the world week in week out. This may change a s a result of the new higher tax strategy.
Oh and when talking about snide players, never forget William "I'll score an own goal" Gallas.

The point appears to be that people who started to support clubs because they have been successful in the past are somehow morally better than those of us who have followed a club through thick and thin. Somehow, because I followed Chelsea through the depths of the 1970s and 1980s when we travelled to such meccas of football such as Grimsby and Carlisle make me less of a supporter than those who have only seen their club in the higher eschelons of football and whose achievements were bankrolled in the past through football pool money or whatever. It is somehow an affront that a team can have investment made in them and succeed. No doubt the same people consider it an outrage that a side such as Hull are in the Premiership - surely that spot ought to go to someone like Leeds with "history" rather than to one who is there through merit and achievement. If trophies should only be awarded to Arsenal Man U and Liverpool, what point is there is a football competition at all?
And what is "history"? Chelsea and most other clubs have been around for more than a century. They have all had their ups and downs (other than the rich clubs with no downs). There is "history" in all of that time. People have passion about Chelsea and about Brentford and about Southend. Don't disparage that just because you chose to follow a "big" club.

In every survey of football supporters throughout Europe, Chelsea have been found to be the best looking, best dressed and most affluent and classy supporters bar none. That is fact. Now bog off with your envy. Dream how you might aspire to the heights that we command.
