Enjoying those immensely, snoops. Colours are fantastic in the bottom three. Were they straight out of the camera? They have a slide quality to them.

Genuinely really liked my GRD II but I think I was a bit too used to my little film point and shoots in terms of speed. Plus the GRD IV was on the way in and my mind was like "SELL SELL SELL" with the anticipation of picking up a III or IV later on before I lost out financially. Now the GR's out with a bigger sensor and I'm back to thinking about decent digital compacts. The III and IV are cheaper and they've got quicker lenses... GR has a bigger sensor, decent quality at higher ISOs too apparently... Hmmmm! Essentially the stable is lacking in the digital department and there's a gap at the 28mm mark too. 35, 40 and 45 are covered. Something a bit wider would be noice indeed.

^ I had the GRD II and got on with the focal length just fine. It was just a bit too slow to operate if you know what I mean. Bit clunky to navigate. I should probably find a place that stocks them so I can have a fiddle about.

I ordered the Ricoh GR as I have not been carrying my Nikon with me. Here's hoping I will like it.

Has this arrived yet? Really considering one of these as my one-and-only-take-anywhere digi. Seems like a really capable bit of camera!

First outing with the xe-1. Thought i'd come home with lots of landscapes, but ended up with portraits. Cracking camera, up there with the 5d mk1, which maybe says more about the 5d than the xe-1.

Major xe-1 envy. Major.

Loving the colours of the Velvia, nefarious. Oh how I wish shooting slide film wasn't so expensive! Obviously it's not just down to the film though. Especially liking the misty peaks one.

I was just at the Whitehall lights facing Parliament Square. I knew about the give way markings but I've had my fair share of "oh bitch you better wait yo' turn" moments there too. Not everyone respects the rules. Probably good I didn't shout HAI though. Bus driver eye contact and all that... :)

don't worry :) The bus had a give way line and shouldn't have pulled out given that there was traffic (me) coming, but we'd had proper eye contact so I trusted that they were pulling out slowly and timing it to let me through
