Rest ice compression elevation and stretches.
It usually gets inflamed as you've increased you running too much too quickly and or your shoes are knackered.
That or you're leg is about to fall off.
Cheers, Ed. Shoes are fine, only a year old and they've not done as much mileage as I had hoped! Too much too soon might be it.
I found that, as well as my ITB being fooked, when I had pain in the same area, it was due to overly tight glutes, which pulled everything out of alignment.
This is apparently pretty common with cyclists, adn I found this stretch to work wonders:
How to Do the Glute Stretch - YouTube
I'm running today so I'll give this a go. Not sure where I'm going to find a place at work to stretch like that but I'm sure I'll find somewhere! Thanks. :)
RE: ITB tightness... a foam roller helps a lot.
Hmmm, I could do with a draught excluder...
I also use a lacrosse ball to roll under my foot, I find this is easy (0 effort) and really loosens up my achilles and lower calf musles, which in turn helps the hip/itb/calf/achilles system.
I usually run straight after work. Is the lacrosse ball thing something I can do under my desk before I go out? Or would you need to be standing?

Anyone feel like diagnosing my knee pain? :) I'm not sure what's going on as this wasn't happening when I started running! During the run I'm fine but a couple of hours afterwards and for the next day or so there's a point below the outside of my right knee (collateral ligaments?) that hurts when I walk. When I cycle it's fine - I don't notice anything. Any ideas?

Can anyone tell me why one would get an Fuji x-pro1 over say a Lumix GF1/GX1 with a viewfinder (apart from the fact that the viewfinder on the Lumix would protrude)? I like the Fuji but this X-mount lens business... M4/3 is surely the way to go, no? I guess there will be lens adapters and such for the Fuji but I was just wondering.

nah, just wind on a couple and shoot the rest of the roll. depending on how long the door was open and how bright it was, you might only have lost a few. why throw it away?
Do you know roughly how far into the film you went? I ask as the counter would have reset and you might end up getting confused as to why you can't wind the film on past the 11th shot!*
*Didn't happen to me. :/

Pure slavery.
