If thats a 54, I'll eat my own bollocks. No way, its a 58 or a 60.
Agreed that £500 is waaay high, £300 max, but if you stick it on the 'Bay some muppet will pay whatever. Try retrobikes or one of the other old peoples bikes but they won't pay that much for it either, 8 speed Daytona ? T'wasn't all that brand new !
It seems that "old and low end" is the new "new and top end" !
Ebay it, you'll get your £200 back for it, probably a bit more. Thats what its worth.

The Colnago Precisa forks which is the look that those forks are copying will have COLNAGO written with a cutaway on the fork crown, and will also say Brevetto Colnago on the drop outs. They may well be pukka, as may yours Dogsballs (although your fame is deffo the real thing....ncie colour too BTW is that original ?), but on the 5 Colnagos I have had all have been exactly the same (Tecnos, sevaral Masters and a Super), I would reckon if they don't have one or the other, they are definitely not the real thing.
RvH, looks like a Super, but I don't know what those forks are off, they are like nothing I've ever seen on a 'Nago, but then they do do some cheaper end bikes for local consumption back in the day, the INternational etc. Yes, Masters will all have chromed lugs and be fully chromed up and then painted. I would suggest that given the age of the red one the chainstay on the drive side should have COLNAGO stamped on the outside and then chromed, if not, I doubt its the real thing. the serial number will be on the driveside dropout on the outside face whne you remove the wheel. Also, usually the guide for the front and rear mech cables usually say Colnago too. There is nothing Ernesto likes as much as his own name !!!
Sorry about the lag in response I have been away.
Cheers

Proof positive that ebay no longer works. There are no sanctions anymore, just a fucking strike against your name - you need 3 before they even count. Some complete twat bought a Paddy wagon from me after asking to end the auction early for an agreed price he fucked me around for weeks and then said he didn't think it was enough of a bargain !
Sold it the next week for more, so there you go. But I guess if you don't want to be named and shamed on public forums, you probably need to do the right thing, or at least show some common sense and pay for a reserve price, you get £700 for a frame, you can afford to pay for the sale, if not, keep trying to sell it on here.
Tommaso my heart goes out to you. Hussy, you can't say you didn't ask for this to happen, try communication, it works miracles.

I'm having my Eurus rebuilt and as with all this Campag you need a special effing tool which is ridiculously £15 for a spoke key ! Has anyone got one that they'd be prepared to lend/sell to me so I can get the job done and get my bike back on the road. I had a prang last year that destroyed the rim and cannot afford the £220 that some of the builders have threatened me with so a mate is doing the job with an old Eurus with a busted hub for cheap, with credit crunch here for breakfast lunch and tea, I need to get this bad boy fixed so I can get back on the road.
I know its not fixed/SS but someone might have ne in their toolbox, you never know.
Many thanks
Cheers

Scott I love it and agree with what you say, I think that this For Sale section is just becoming a Flaming post for people who think that their opinions in any way count and that people actually give a shit what they think about other peoples bikes. In short, you like it buy it, you don't, or you think its overpriced, shut the fuck up.
Nuff said, getting my coat and pissing off now to enjoy the snow.

What it is, is a Jump Bike Aaron Chase is one of those mentalist dudes who jump roads and cars and that sort of thing and puts it on video and makes a fortune. Hard as nails frame, tough as fcuk. ONly the tyres are "street" the rest is a hardcore mutha jump bike. They are brilliant fun, only I am too afraid !
Good luck with the sale

Ramon, I don't think that anyone is suggesting that all of Spain are crooks !! That is certainly not the case, but it does reek of a Gumtree scam. That is definitely not a Colnago and E240 for a Pinarello sounds just like the sort of thing that used to be rife on Gumtree, also a national site and it doesn't make all Brits crooks either. Scumbags everywhere mate !
Steer well clear young 'un. And have a splendid day.

Reculver - So what are you saying ? Still £100 less than that and £250 less than what he paid 3 months ago. And it is virtually brand new. Would you like me to give the thing away? If you're not interested, thanks but flame someone else.
Muleboy - I'm based in Herts, but in London a couple of times every week. Happy to bring in if you're London based, I travel a lot with work as well.

Kona Paddy Wagon - 50 miles from new, absolutely unmarked and spotless. Why pay £550 for a new one, this is £300 because my mate has gone back to Australia in a hurry.....typical of all convicts.
Its an 08 model, so Sun rims and Tektro brakes, good finishing kit, flip flop hub (fixed/SS) in that lovely grey. Good quality Dedacciai COM 12.5 double butted cromo, real steel.....
Its a 56cm. Perfect for 5'9 to about 6'1" (I'm a 6 footer and its a comfortable fit)
Its like this, http://www.konabikes.co.uk/2008/paddy-wagon/2008-paddy-wagon-big.jpg
Honestly, you don't need a photo of this one, there is not a single mark on it and even the tyres still have the little bits of sticky out rubber on them. Cheap winter bike, has mudguard eyelets and will take up to 28mm tyres, just like the old style winter bikes. Perfect commuter. Lovely bike, a real hoot to ride. -

Hi all
I am after, as I say a cheap and cheerful c50 or 52cm geared bike for my boy (hes 13), anything will do as long as it goes and ideally is 700c wheeled.
Potless at present, but he is gagging to get riding out with me. Ideally looking to spend around £50 but will go a bit higher if needs be.
I am in and out of London most days over the next couple of weeks and a pint can be definitely added to the price if someone willing to help. If its fixed, that could definitely also work, he just needs something to get started on, he's not going to be doing the TdF just yet !!
If anyone can help out a budding 13 year old racer, that would be brilliant and I would be eternally grateful. Drop me a pm and leave your phone number and I'll give you a bell.
Happy trails guys.
