'lets let overpaid idiots buy these bikes'
Dicki, i know there's humour in your post, but seriously, when people like this to sell at over-inflated prices other sellers will realise they could be making much more profit too and up their prices, before you know it everything costs a fortune, including the parts that you want ...
It's just greed - this is not the real cost or real worth of those bikes. I guess the economics of it are, that when prices do eventually get over-inflated, someone will undercut with cheaper parts ...

The new Rubino Pro (I got this from another thread via Horatio):
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=Y1151
Not white all over, but Horatio was under the impression the walls could be a stronger material than previous Rubino Pros. (previous RPs were 120tpi)

I want to organise a wheel building class and I’m looking for 6-8 people to join me, chip in £20 each and pay an experienced builder to show us how. It will take 3-4 hours one evening or weekend day before the end of the month.
The idea is that we buy and take along our own components and end up with the wheels we want and the confidence and know-how to do it again.
I know there are a few guides that have been recommended in a number of threads here recently, but personally I’m not so keen on learning from books and videos; I’d prefer to have someone on hand to talk me through it and answer questions. And there’s the added bonus of this being sociable (i.e. meet other forumengers, beers involved).
Hopefully SmallBrownBike will be our guru - he’s got a stack of tools, is suitably skilled and is up for this, date depending.
Anyone interested?

i quit 4 years ago after smoking for 15 years. i bloody loved smoking but it got to the stage that every cigarette was accompanied by total psychological doom about the consequences, and i hated that i couldn't get through the day without one.
I quit when i moved to a new flat - i made the decision not to smoke indoors, it was on the 5th floor with no lift. A couple of days after running up and down i just quit.
One of the best things that got me through was a list of what happens after you have a cigarette; after 20 mins. heart rate returns to normal, after 12 hours Carbon Monoxide levels return to normal, 2wks-3 months risk of heart attack drops and lung function improves ... was like a checklist.
It totally transformed my level of fitness, as well as my ability to taste and smell. and my clothes didn't totally reek.

Someting like this could be pretty cool...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330240204682&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=014 it is a single speed but could be converted to a fixed wheel with a new back wheel???
single speed with front brake only ... seems like an oversight.

Sorry, just reread my post; i'm sure you know about intellectual property rights.
what i'm saying is, i'm not sure i believe him about having no idea when he seems to know exactly what will sell. what he probably knows is that his ebay store can be shut down for dealing in goods that infringe on other people's copyright and he wants to be nice to complainants.
or have i just become the world's biggest cynic?

Tynan, don't feel bad, every image has a creator and therefore someone owns the right. This person is trawling google images, whacking them on t-shirts and making cash - totally illegal and complete infringement of the image originator's rights. Check out his other items, he's using Velocity's logo and artwork by artist Shepard Fairey (though Fairey himself borrows most of his images).
