For what purpose, flat material? Machine engraving gives the most legible. Power hand engravers sort of OK.
Is the material solid, if so stamping will give a legible result.
Perhaps acid etching is a feasible alternative.

If you are stuck for a map download, here is an alternative site that uses OSM data. A bit more fiddly to use but works nevertheless.

It is just you, I got the "download map now" option.
Here is the link to the UK if it is what you need.

First try using the webupdater to see if it offers you a time zone map update if it does then take it.
If it does not then mount the Edge to the computer and delete the following file
Garmin\gmaptz.img (This is the time zone map)
Run the Webupdater after deleting the file and it will reinstall the map for you. -

Adding glue does nothing to help the nutserts hold, if they are installed correctly.
The image is showiing stainless steel nutserts into stainless steel.
Bikes usually have aluminium ones as they are easier to set.
I have nutserts, setting tool and a 7.1mm drill if you fancy doing it yourself? 7.1 mm is the size for M5 nutserts. (rivnuts is an americanism).

Whilst maybe not particularly helpful to your situation, I can plug my garmin into my phone via a USB OTG cable. The phone sees the garmin as a removable device. If using online mapping sites the gpx file can be transferred directly to the garmin. The phone needs to have enough oomph to power up the garmin. My old galaxy s4 can so I suspect most newer phones will be capable.

As others have said, Anker. They tend to be true as regards to their stated capacity unlike many of the cheap no name ones.
But they do not support pass through charging on their power banks.
