What I find hard to understand is the speed with which you and others will try to belittle anyone who doesn't bow to your point of view or agree wholeheartedly with any ridiculous and arrogant statement you want to make

In future please try not too be too clever and consider for a minute that not everyone who posts here has been riding for years, knows a crank extractor from a cup removing tool or a two pin freewheel tool from a headset spanner. They just might need to be led by the hand for a little while.

If you are going to give advice to a newbie try to use the correct terms to describe the parts of the wheel/bike he will need to research about before he converts, otherwise he will waste a lot of time and effort before he realises you are in fact talking out of your arse. Now run along and check out the captains web site bicycle glossary again and again until you get it right

Never ask RPM to do a wheel for you, not if he believes a cassette hub can be replaced with a screw on freewheel

its unusual to see 5 speed cassettes

Its either get a conversion kit for the cassette hub .................... very easy to do

Or................ Remove the sprocket block
Replace the block with a 1/8th or 3/32 freewheel 16-17-18-19-T
....................Respace to align with the chainring
& then ..................Redish

you can screw on a freewheel in place of the freehub cassete, I'd expect.

but the wheel would need re-dishing.

Story
A female cyclist has been stabbed to death in the Anfield area of Liverpool in a "vicious and brutal" attack.
Police said she was riding a bicycle on Whitfield Road on Friday night when a car pulled up alongside her and an argument broke out with its occupants.

Witnesses reported that she rode off but the car followed and on Woodville Terrace two women got out, pulled her from her bike, and she was stabbed.

Me and my friend ........well partner really, we are both commited single speeders ( been an item for 5 years now ) and we wondered whether it is possible for us to get some advice on adopting a BMX.
