so i need to move some books, and a bike, and some other odds and ends, any one got any suggestions on a good, cheap, sea freight service from the USA to the uk, can pack up and drop off state side, but need it delivered to my door in the uk.
I insist ........... have it delivered to me
I would be so very happy to bring it directly to your front door and meet you in person

Many years ago I once rode my shit mountain bike the whole length of Oxford Street (a mile or so) with the quick release completely undone as I had forgot to check it - towards the end of oxford street I spotted something in a window of a clothes shop I thought I would hop up onto the pavement and take a look at. This was around 4-5 in the morning (working nights on the way home) so no one was around to see my front wheel fall out of the fork dropouts - get caught by the front brake - and me and the bike get tossed forward onto the pavement.
I was ok, juts cuts and scratches, but the fork and the wheel were totally fucked, I walked home.
Ha ha ha ....................
I know its not really funny but I had this vision of a very frightened and perplexed face and My own thoughts were ........... jeez I hpe he didn't do the crushed nuts thing ................ouch ha ha ouch

I reckon Hacked2 would take a few off you !
I reckon he will not .............. too risky if origin unknown.
I think the greasefingers.org people would appreciate some of them.
But check them out first for usable chainsets - pedals - bars - seats etc and donate them to the open tool box group on Sundays.

yes, but if we had beginners thingy, they could still ask the question. sometimes all the info in the world just confuses a person, and they need someone to say "NO YOU COCK SMALLER ON THE BACK IS BIGGER, FUCKING HELL", so we should have a place where it can all be friendly and nurturing and we can mentor the next generation of bike tinkerers.
WTF ............. No more Crish Crap dissing me
No No No .....................
I am HACKED2 and I cannot endorse this motion

Hi t-4003
I would contact Evans and ask first if they are made to be serviced.
They are a copy of Campy Stradas and I think they can be opened up.
So, If you are able to remove the dust cap from the top of the axle, you should find a nut, (usually 11mm spanner will fit). either place the crank side end of the pedal axle in a vice or hold it with a 15mm spanner whilst you remove nut, revealing a washer/plate. Carefully ease up the plate along its groove on the axle.
You will then find a cone, you can tighten the tension on the bearings by adjusting this cone.
I personally would not over tighten.
Hope this helps and hope it makes sense to you. -

Lunacy - not the bloke bumming his bike - but arresting him, prosecuting him, giving him a criminal record, placing him on the sex offenders' register, putting him on probation for three years and under the supervision of a social worker.
And what was the 'crime' ? He didn't even get to 'ride' his bike - his crime was 'to simulate sex' - and the victims suffered 'being shocked at what they saw'.
HTFU !
Well done to the judge and the public prosecutor, thanks for wasting our money and fucking someone's life up.
Totally agree with you

I would also like to say that I have ALWAYS asked EVERY buyer of my bikes if they want a rear brake if the advertised pictures only show one .............. contrary to popular belief on this forum ............ (a case of guilty even if innocent). Even when buyers decline I quite often throw one complete rear set up in the box anyway. .....
However ............ for the past two months every bike built, has had two brakes fitted, plus a free bubble wrap suit -a crash helmet -elbow -knee & shin pads, cricket pads - crotch box - American football shoulder pads - blank quasi legal last will and testament form - spare cables and and and... a baseball bat (dont ask).

The voice of reason .......Well said that man
