They the ones with the blue selvedge trim? If so, they're lovely. Sadly couldn't find them in my size. I have too many jeans anyway so I'm out for while.
Yup. They're great man. I'm in deep smit with the pair I've been rocking since Wednesday. Can't decide whether or not to rotate the other two pairs or keep both or one of them as "new old stock" to bust out in all their raw crispy indigo-ness in years to come.
If I were to keep a pair or two back for are they okay folded in a drawer or you think I ought to hang them up?

Check out Portico Quartet if you can Murts, their records are awesome and I have it on good authority they're amazing live.
I used to play with the portico quartet all the time. They were, and presumably still are, great and super sweet guys. I 'found' them via my hot french flatmate who'd seen them busking on the southbank. We booked them for my regular sunday night pub quiz/music night in Bethnal Green a couple of time (there's a format that wants a revival) and ended up doing quite a few gigs with them. Last one I remember was at Jamm in Brixton... wicked night. They won some big music prize a few years ago didn't they?

Speaking of which, Sally from Cally Masters (one of the lovelier long-term regulars) is in the Graun today:

I'm glad to see the Great London Cycling Revolution lasted 4 days exactly; there was no-one riding on my commute in today. Bliss.
I wussed out. Hangover. Nice new denim. Bike left outside overnight, wet saddle...The call of an On the Hoof cappucino and 15 mins reading on a quiet train won out. #fairweathercyclist

Any RICS members on here? I'm doing my "professional experience route" to membership at the moment. Probably got for my APC next summer.
I've also been dropped in the deep end with my first big civil construction project after ten years of quite niche railway specific engineering. It's interesting but a daunting learning curve. Just wondered if ther ewere any other QS' on here?

Those are nice jeans with a good loose fit , I like how roomy they are in the thigh . Are they the cowboy model with the suspender buttons and left hand patch, or the hair on hide patch version ?
Cheers. The latter I believe but yeah the room for man thighs is a blessing. The high rise also works for me as I have an almost freakishly long torso and stumpy legs. I'm forever hoiking up jeans or re-tucking in escaping work shirts. Not at the same time, I do not present Top Gear.

Just picked up three pairs of Lee 101B in TK Maxx Brixton. Raw denim, white selvedge cinch back, high waist... They were the nearest thing to good fitting, feeling looking jeans I've found in an age so bought all three pairs in 32/32. I'm normally a 34 or 33 waist but the 34s were huge. Figured if they're as nice as I think they are they'll keep me going for years. If not I'll flog them on here at cost. They were £50 a pair.

Regular accurance, check the flood defences on a couple of houses on Dulwich Road
Fireman told me it was a burst water main as I tried to get past this morning. Could be wrong though. I tweeted a picture of it and got contacted by a journalist asking if I had any video (6 o'clock news main headline I assume). I replied saying I hadn't really thought it worth filming as it was essentially a large puddle. There was a boat in the road though which was pretty cool.

I know his stuff well, long time fan. He's too wierd to make it big, but much better that the other attempts at absurdist, disturbing comedy we see on the telly.
I really wanted to like Limmy. Loads of comedians I dig really rate him but I just didn't get on with his stuff. I found the occaional sketch pure gold ("jogging" springs immediately to mind) but the majority of his stuff left me cold.
I tried several episodes of Limmy's Show and youtubed plenty more but just didn't crack a smile. Worse, by the end of it i found myself actively disliking him. I followed him on twitter for a while during this period as well but all he seemed to do was tweet moaning self-pity from his bed or pointlessly attack other journalists or comedians. I know a lot of folk see it his comedy as breaking down barriers and confronting social taboos but I really didn't find any of his ideas particulalry surprising or insightful (let alone funny) and after a while I found he comes across as palpably depressed, vain and self obsessed. Just not an attractibe character at all. Not a fan I'm afraid.

Rumblerumblerumble... few splats of fat drops then nothing. Decided to go for it. Threatening but not quite delivering all the way in. Went verrry dark and one big rain drop on the back of the neck as I stepped into work.... would have been a win if I hadn't rode the whole way in my waterproof and ended up absolutely soaked with sweat. .

^^Was possibly exagerating for effect there. Although the middle class guilt/anxiety experience was real. I have a conflicted relationship with class.
Having said that, I rode though the other day and thought, "I should come down here more often". Fancy do trying a few of the restaurants. Plus it's the got the the nearest decent offie and fishmongers. And a good independant DIY shop. And secondhand audio/musical...
I would say if you anyone does go to get some (theres plenty in brixton TKM) the 32s I got have already stretched out to 34ish after less than a week. I'm actually mildly concerned that they'll end up too baggy.
