watching that Tommassini very closely but it wont be cheap. A mate of mind found a mint road bike in similar colours with 600 groupset in a local antique shop for £180, bargained the guy down to £140 the cheeky bugger!

Thank for all the replies, yeah will give Pisa a wide berth, and Florence is only a brief stop, we're mainly going to be on Elba and around Tuscany chilling in the countryside. Will make time for Siena tho.

Just to ressurect this, good news, paypal found in my favour in the dispute and I got all my money back. Item was damaged and therefore significantly not as described. I had to pay for them to be shipped back to the guy with tracking - about £6 from the PO, but apart from that it's all good.

Now I'm having an issue with my new dura ace track cranks that single ring bolts wont tighten down enough. I've tried this with a campy and a sugio ring and they both don't work. I'm using stronglight bolts from velosolo. Are their such a thing as low stack bolts? Should I be using a 1 1/8 ring? Are Dura Ace track cranks only compatible with DA rings?

Sorry not very clear, just got up. Like the one on the far left? It has an inner reinforcing ring.

No they're single ring chain bolts, which is why it's so weird, must just be some strange DA Campy compatibility issue. Cheers.

I'm off to Italy at the begining of September with my gf, we're going on the train, and as Tuscany is Tommasini country I thought I might try my luck and see if I could find a special souvenir!

Anyone have any tips on places to look, places you've been? I have heard that steel frames aren't highly prized in Italy so their might be a chance to get a bargain?

We're getting the train to Florence, then through Pisa and on to Elba island and Tuscany.
