I have smashed the screen of my htc flyer and need to get some important files off it.

If I swap the motherboard of an android tablet to new another one, will the internal memory and apps also be transferred? This approach is much much easier (and cheaper) than installing a new digitizer glass & lcd.

Worked perfectly, but then tried to play an .avi last night and it freezes to a black screen. Forced to lock->unlock->kill MX in task manager. Now no video works.

Resolved. Fiddled with the HW+ / HW / SW decoder settings. Device specfic issue. Please close the Helpdesk ticket.
