whats all this crap about it being free, my bike is the single biggest money black hole in my life.

i am constantly governed by the formula nirvana = n+1 where the n is the number of bikes you own.

I'm going to be in USA on a wee road trip on my own with my bike from May to mid June.
Im planning on getting flying into LA , getting a one way ticket on the Amtrak to Vancouver and staying with mates in LA, SF, Seattle and then onto Vancouver.

I've got friends to ride with in SF and Seattle but the friends im going to see in Van and LA don't ride. Ive joined LA fixed and vancouver fixed but i was wondering if anyone on here is from there or has friends that would like to go for a wee pedal ?!

oh Fun ! I had my leaving shingdig at work last night so im feeling rough ! may mean that i cant go for my second DFL !

my lovely friend Mel bust her collarbone on a ride a month ago and is now on the mend . She would love a loan of a turbo trainer so she can get some indoor pedalling done to ease herself back into it. Shes is a most excellent hairdresser and will swap a haircut for use of it for a few weeks when she is all mended. We can collect and drop back off at your house if someone is willing to give us one for a loan.

Im sorry i made you skid to such a sharp stop you fell over and i'm also sorry that the police bike turned out to be a ambulance bike who then road past us slowly to see if you were ok after you fell.

Hello,

I know there have been lots of different threads about bike bags, but my issue is slightly different !

After a mighty 8 years, im about to leave work in a month or so and my work has offered to get me a really good bike bag for a leaving present .

Any recommends ? They will have a good couple hundred to spend on me.

Im going to be going away (hopefully USA/Canada and other places) so it will be used a lot and after my chainstays got squished on a trip to Berlin i really want a decent bag that i feel semi confident in handing over to an airline !

Also the blonde girl (with black hood up) on the super duper fluro bike on London Bridge about 840 this morning, always see you around London Bridge area.

I was the small girl with the blue trousers and the ashfield is my new whip (aka jim lightening, brother of joe lightening, my resprayed lemond ) - gosh its a long story , the give your bike a name malarkey !

Spotted by em, Sam , Mel and myself about 12 today: Some dude on High holborn on an orange frame, MASSIVE ear phones, riding mostly with his hands in his pockets or doing skids in the middle of the road and getting in way of the traffic. Seriously dude ! Showing off isnt big or clever , i was worried you were going to fall off and get squished by passing traffic.
