Right, this may seem a bit meaningless, hence posting it in this category, but bear with me....
I was recently given the Park Tool BBQ-3 toolset, it consists of a pedal wrench and cone wrench. WEll made and i like them, however the pedal tool just doesn't fit. I've measured it at 13mm! Does anybody else own this set or know something i may be missing. the pedal wrench i pretty much exactly the same as Park Tool's professional pedal wrench that's £30!

Hello all, thanks for all the input, i'm very happy with all the ideas flowing.
And to Fred, no it's a map bought for £6.99 from Stanfords that's about A0 size, to which i've drawn every ride i've done since Wednesday with a Stabilo permanent marker pen designed for use on OHPs. I photographed it Friday, hence the brightness in the middle where the flash went off.
And thank-you to Wayne, i loved the Graphis Diagram set on flickr, it's great to get some visuals for my research.
Keep it coming everyone, i'm more than happy to buy more maps and transfer your routes onto them, gathering a much more holistic visual (to quote villa-ru) "fixed highway" map.

Hello, I've been riding my fixed for about 6weeks now, and a problem has arisen in the last couple of weeks. My seatpost is slipping, making it uncomfortable to ride. The story starts when i was building the bike up.....
I originally measured the seat-tube diameter at 25mm on the nose, thought this was a bit rare, so took it to the LBS, where the bloke said that the frame had been clamped to the older seatpost so tight that the frame had altered, he readjusted to 25.4mm, gave me a cheap seatpost and was on my way, all sorted : )
But now the seatpost wants to move down into my seat-tube every time i ride it, no matter how hard i tighten the seatpost bolt. Took it Evans to see if they could fix it and they were too scared to touch it incase they damaged the frame, which has lead me to tell you about the frame's history. I think it may be weak in that area?
I've attached a clamp onto the seatpost to prevent it slipping down the frame, but now my problem is rotational shift, every time i go over a speedhump or turn a corner quickly the saddle moves about 30 degrees left & right....uncomfortable!
I don't know what to buy or what will fix it. Anybody have any advice?

I'm a graphic design student doing a mapping project in relation to London. I've chosen to concentrate on a cycle-specific map to London and would like to hear the voices of London cyclists.
Whilst cycling the other day I thought of all sorts of different ways I could clock/measure cycling journeys such as pedal revolutions, braking distance, speed, distance, lanes, junctions, traffic lights, bridges, tunnels, etc.
I've started looking into GPS mapping (thanks Hewitt), and am thinking of all the different types of data I can collect and then transpose into a map.
Your input would be very helpful.

Read earlier that threads can be resurrected, and since i'm in the nursery i hope this will do. I have a similar problem i think. When applying downward pressure on the cranks, they feel like they're slipping, and not propelling me forward. The chainring has some damage to a couple of the teeth, and the chain is quite tight, but i can't tell whether these are the problems or whether its the BB or sprocket or hub!! I'm just about to replace it, but thought i'd seek advice incase more purchases are needed.

I feel much more at one with the bike when riding fixed and clipped in. I jumped on my racer last night with platform pedals (V12s have amazing grip), but felt like Bambie on it, after a while i was used to it, but was far too agressive when appying rear brake. because i've become accustomed to not having one. Tbh, although only been riding fixed for couple of months and freewheel since about 6yrs i feel much more controlled on my fixed.
