The man could well be right. I was told by the Fulham shop, that there were NO 52cm Capo 5's left in the country. But when I asked again in Rathbone Place, I was told St.Paul's had one. I prefer the red and white, but the black 2007 looks pretty business-like I think.

yeah - i went to st pauls this lunchtime to have a look - at something else which wasnt in stock when i got there, so i had a go on the capo to see what 'a non langster alu was like' they dont have my size anyway, id be a 54 in the capo, the 52 and 56 in the store were either side, had a bash on a charge too, and im a small in the charge! i couldn't ride the 09 capo even if it was the best feeling bike id ever ridden, its ghastly, good call to buy it now i think!
Thats funny. Sorry mate, they DID have a 54cm, but it was downstairs. Bought on Saturday by a chap called GA2G. Picked up today. :)

chi11i, I don't know if you're really thinking of getting the last of the red Capo 5's, but as you can see, the follow up is just nasty. Evans only have a couple left, in their St.Paul's branch, and out of stock just about everywhere else. I picked up my Red Capo today; minutes after I'd just seen teenslain.

I've just seen what is to be the new Cannondale Capo 2009. Its all pastel grey, lilac, and maybe it even smells of lavender??

I bought one of the last Capo 2008, and I'm so glad I did. Red and white beats lilac and such mularkey anytime.

I think its horrendous. But then, maybe I'm blind.

Apparently the QuickStep version is Red, the other is Black.

I went out today, and after much hunting, came away with a Capo 5 Red. Funnily enough, the frame feels heavier than my Bowery's. I can safely say that I never seen more horrible looking pedals anywhere, as on the Capo. The shop will swap the for some standard MKS ones instead. The sizing is also slightly different. I had to get a 54cm, as the 52cm was definitely too small.

I'll post a dual review of the Maxxis Refuse's that come with the bike, and also the bike itself and its handling. I'm supposing its heavier than I expected, because Cannondale expect it to be thrashed in hard road riding. They could be right.

My Bowery will be undergoing some slight cosmetic and performance changes. Ditto to the Capo. I don't think I will ever get on with that spinny gearing.
