yes it does with direct action, as democracy is when when those impacted by governance have a voice and are represented by governance. the case of climbing on the roof of parliment is probably the best case of democracy this year.

this is a protest that the democratic process is not working.
direct action, in a non-violent way, is democratic

ok see you all tomorrow a couple of things, based on oliver's points..etc

1. it is going to be 12-16 degrees and we will be standing around watching the race so bring stuff to be warm
   
2. the route is easy doable fixed.
   
3. a few of us know the area well. and there are some diversions on more major roads to miss hills at these points we will tell people (eg B269)
   
4. i have baked biscuits :)
   

18mph in an hour and a half....

18miles from crystal palace. should make it in time even with delays and you'll arrive with nice warmed up legs -ftw
and if lots of flats i'll play domestic and draft you out there in time.

quick ristretto, then a lovely roll out to Yorks, bit of cheering and banter, roll back, happy days...

good points stompy. it is a hilly ride but as i pointed out at norths it is well worth it.

this is a TNRC type ride. you need to be reasonably fit...etc as we want to make the start of the race.

815 SHARP at smithfields. in crystal palace it is likley to be approx 845 as i like to get there have a sneeky expresso....

How did the Brompton champs go on Sunday?

i'm not very good at this racing thing...just found out that my chip wasn't attached in right place therefore no time was recorded. would have come in somewhere near the top 10 but i'll never know exactly! our team would have also taken 3rd but instead we got nothing. oh well seems it is all about next year!
