bugger, a bit late in the game for this i think. Although if for some bizarre reason anyone above doesn't take it, i live just round the corner too and can pick up straight from work tonight......
yep too late

skipping, and skidding. These things take a little time to learn. Def ride with both brakes at first, when you feel comfortable, take off the rear, and then the front if you like (though i would keep the front indefinitely).
First thing you need to do IMO is buy an 18 tooth rear sprocket.
48:18 is about 72 gear inches, which is generally considered about right for city riding, skidding skipping etc. My knees wouldn't last long brakeless on 48:15.hey forms - you want that frame or not? you've got 10mins to pm me or it's gone so someone else.

i got a front brake.
but im using my foot to slow the back one so im shredding up my shoes.
it's 48/15.
whats best to get it changed to?
and do you change the chainring or the bottom bracket?i feel that maybe you should have brought a grey hybrid instead of a fuji track.
- buy a brake
- buy a new rear spocket (19tooth if you want to skid lots and not go fast, or 18tooth if you want to go a bit faster).
- leave chain ring and bottom bracket alone.
- get a bike shop to change your spocket as you really don't have a clue - they'll do it for a fiver.
- buy a brake
- buy a brake

Post 1 on a subject dear to my heart...
Love: South Carriage Drive, Holland Park, Roseberry Avenue, Ludgate Hill/Fleet Street/Strand (on a Sunday)
i couldn't agree more. especially sunday bit
also i really like the hill next to buckingham palace on the way up to wellington arch (hyde park corner); there's a great strip of really smooth tarmac in the middle of the road where you can really open up - great. -

Today:
A generally cloudy start, perhaps a little rain here and there at first, otherwise dry. Much of the region will become brighter and warmer, with some sunshine at times during the afternoon. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Tonight:Generally dry, and with at least partly clear skies at times during the evening and early part of the night before becoming generally cloudy again later. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
i baked cookies and now that we've had drop-outs more than enough for all (bit touch-n-go for a little while)!!

i would say hold out until the end of the season if you can....the prices of bikes at the moment is a bit crazy. ex-demo bikes are only going for 15% off when at the end of season you'll get 30-40% off. so, if you can, put your money in a savings account, htfu and ride fixed all summer, then get a much better bike towards christmas and come out firing next year. also you may be able to save more cash and get something better - 660 ain't enough for road bike you need 1200ish.

pastry lover, I've been on this forum for a while now, but have always tried to be as polite as possible to others, even when I am extremely irked. You don't know me, so calling me a twat and an idiot is a bit much.
I can get aggressive, but thats not normally necessary in my life. I suggest you take a bit of a calmer tone, and back down. No need to get personal. I haven't.
GA2G - i think you should get personal, it's good fun and this really is a stupid thread. except for paul hogan film that is.

Yeah you're right.
BAN ALL KNIVES.
Knives should be hated because only murderers use them.
We should also ban cars because sometimes people intentionally use them to kill other people.
We should also ban and hate everything that could be used to kill someone. For example salt, water (hot or cold), pillows, drinking glasses and so on. in fact fuck it BAN EVERYTHING
yep i agree fucking ban pillows. and cars. yep. or just ban the car appreciation thread .
