@Greenbank / @aggi it’s one house split into three flats, the ground floor flat (the one we viewed) has the largest share, of real estate, so pays more into the freehold apparently. Current owner told us things are done “ad hoc”. She seemed legit and I guess that while all three owners know each other and get along it works that way. Could there be trouble down the line though...?

Share of freehold, what should I be looking out for, asking questions about?

Thanks @Sharkstar who do you use? Is there benefit to paying off more early on (if you can afford to) because of how interest is calculated?

And is it correct that brokers have access to mortgage deals that I don’t?

Cheers, how do you get stuck on an SVR? Isn’t it fairly easy to switch at the end of each term?

Mortgages. Gah. Some lenders provide a total amount repaid figure, when they do, is this based on the borrower sticking with the SVR?
