All you need for a fork crown race installation tool is 3 inch square of 3/4 plywood with a hole for the fork steerer tube driiled in the centre of it and a foot length of scaffholding pole.place crown race in position on fork,then put plywood on top of it and repeatedly drop the scaff pole down the steerer tube until the race is in position. (put some gaffer tape around the fork threads to protect them)
