I was there. Didn't spot myself in their coverage though.
Did you do the 260k route? I did the 140...it was enough! Great ride though, and sitting in the sun drinking Ename Blonde watching the pros on the Sunday was very pleasant...

Not the highest salary in the industry I'm sure, but it's a great place to work, and being a government post it is a pretty safe job.
EDIT: With application form attached. I can't figure out how to attach the original word file, as that's the one you would fill out... drop me a PM with your email address if you want it though.

Errr...OK.
People I have bought stuff from on this forum know I don't fuck around when interested in buying stuff.
goes off to sulk
Sorry! Wasn't like that anyway....I got his PM saying 'yes I'll take them now' then came back to the thread. I reckon such a definite PM outweighs registered interest, 'dibs' even.
Have a large cold beer and a sit down, that's what I'm going to do. And look on the bright side, it's not raining anymore.

dudes does anyone have any routes south, approx 40-50 miles, a couple of hills, some scenic bits, got to start getting out more on the weekends, and need to put some miles in the legs, any preferred routes you know the dilly-oh, post 'em up and I'll start getting out on the geared bike for a bit more training...
also does anyone know some of the routes that brixton cycles take on a sunday, out from crystal palace, as I wouldn't mind having a go on them...
I took my freshly built up geared bike out last sunday. With no real destination in mind I left from East Dulwich, headed past my parents place in Beckenham, cutting passed the town centre to the left of the station, straight through to Bromley, passed the market square and straight on, following signs to Biggin Hill.
I had figured that would have been a good destination but I only had about 20k on the clock by the time I got there, so I headed on passed the air field, took a left at a signpost to Downe and found myself on a beautiful little country road. Stumbled on Charles Darwin's house after a mile or so and stopped for a cup of tea (lycra shorts in the cafe mmmm yeah), then carried on. Turned right after a while and started following signs to Sevenoaks. Avoided the turning to the M25 and got on the A21, or 22 or something, and headed pretty much straight to Sevenoaks. Got there with 46k on the clock and turned back. It was such a nice route a followed it back the same way (didn't want to get lost either!).
Lot's of beautiful country roads, with high hedges and quick corners leading out to stunning views across green valleys bathed in afternoon sunshine. Heaven. I also found out that I'd inadvertantly ridden across the Downs to get to Sevenoaks. Hit 56kph on one downhill, and that's with two wheels that need trueing and some of the oldest tyres I've ever ridden on! Bodes well for the Tour of Flanders. I hope...

I've been think about doing something similar for a while. My frame has no decals or markings on at all, and my gf (art student) has agreed to design a dancing girl-style image for my headtube, which I was planning on getting printed on vinyl.
How would you guys 'secure' the vinyl to your frame? Just stick it on? Clear coat over the top?

I bought these last year for a lovely Italian geared project, but decided to go with new modern cranks in the end.
They are a few years old obviously, but in great condition. There is a smal amount of rubbing near the pedals - from shoes I would assume. Everything else is in great condition though, and all the threads are perfect. They are 170 mm long, and take chainrings with a BDC of 144.

Contact Geoff Burgess here. His email is geoff@t-online.hu. I was after some chrome road forks, and he had loads of Coppi and Colnago engraved ones, and I'm pretty sure some Mosers too.
Lots of tasty goodies on his site!

Faaarkin 'ell. Saw this thread after the first few posts, laughed loudly then went and sat in a meeting for two hours. There is a vicious circle of different opinions here, but I for one applaud your actions mikec. Some pointlessly sanctimonious posts up there ^^
Although, at 5mph it's hardly a crash eh?

Got this. Its a TA track chainring, 144 BCD and with 46 teeth, so not quite right, but let me know if you want it.

You got all the hills anyway! My mate did the long one, and apparently the first 120ks were just flat and dull. Great riding country in Flanders itself though. The long cobbled downhills were a bit 'bouncy', but the rest was brilliant. Popped into a few bike shops while I was there, all very well stocked.
Stopped in one in Oudenarde during the ride so I could borrow a track pump, and who do I find badgering the owner for vintage track parts? Jan from BLB. He got told to go away due to the 'Tventy Souzand riders here today'.
