I paid £80 for them a year ago, so asking £45 for an original hand-made Fast Boy Fenders is pretty decent (plus it make your girl's bike look more comfortable and classy).
you can always get them in like a month or two time when you had enough money you know, and that give you a good idea if it worth getting since I have a feeling that leaving it in the mist of Covent Garden for a couple hours is enough to get the mudguard stolen.

Thanks guys, Im pretty pleased with it to be honest, i was thinking white grips but then went with the tape instead, she can always change it... Also I would ideally put gaurds on it, like the old fashioned ones, but..But have run out of money (serously).... Its far to small for me but rode it round the block the other day and its so smooth....
I got a couple of excellent hand-made wooden mudguard here if you fancy some for a few nickles, it go well with the brooks saddle and grip;

dogsballs, at the moment this 48x17 is really good, and I can go up gentle inclines without standing, but I think that if I have to head up Pentonville Road, I'd probably walk up.......til I've lost some weight, and increased my leg strength. But its flat speed I'm after. Anyway, hills are for mountain goats http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/cgi-bin/pod/PhotoOfTheDay.cgi?day=21&month=4&year=05
I cannot believed you walk up Pentonville Road on 48x17, I have 48x16 and occasionally I have to cycle up that hill, but it's not steep enough to get off the bike, but I still managed to get up to the top without stopping and getting off.
edited; you got asthma, that make sense, didn't read the whole thing properly, my apologise.

I realise I took a photo of a nice looking fixed gear bike in Bodhi (the sushi/manga/library place in Brick Lane), it belong to an Asian girl, who got hit on by two policeman much to her annoyance.
(sorry about the vivid photo - the film has been cross processed, not "photoshop" as some would assumed), I geniunely think that bike is beautifully made, straight fork, creamish/light grey paint (picture doesn't show jusitice), metallic red rims, simple chrome riser/pedal/etc.

Do anyone have any old small bike frame (with fork, and preferrably, with aheadset) that they can give me even for a small fees?
I wanted to built a bike for my girlfriend who's 5'4ish, a male frame would be preferred since the lady frame is a bit useless in the modern world where women can actually wear trouser (even if it more comfortable to get on/off the bike).
I don't care if it a heavy old bottom of the range raleigh/peugeot frame really, it still can be built incredibly light with just the right compound (and let face it, it's still lighter than a Brompton).
if it in purple, you are a God.

Since the first hot sunny day arrived in May, I've managed to get myself in 5 close call accident, either I'm riding rather irregularly due to stoking in the sun or the driver simply got worse.
the last time was yesterday when cycling home to Wimbledon on Fulham, a lady in a Mini just drove through the traffic light without even looking to see if there's cyclist about, slammed my brake, lady saw me, didn't even look shocked or worried, which kinda worried me.

Yeah, i'm so used to hearing kids that age talking like this ^ (except slightly less eloquently). My school was like hogwarts, except without magic, and slightly more sheltered from the real world.
rusty: yeah i went to a private school too. Best in newcastle!
Do you have four differents houses like Hogwarts? (with the exact same colour, you know what I mean like Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, etc.)
on a side note, I love the idea of the frame having a hole so you can put your D-lock through it to lock the bike, brilliant idea especially for messenger who need to lock their bike up quickly, granted I'm not sure how strong the frame is after someone drilling a hole through it but meh;

It's a home-made frame by Naked Bicycles, Lance Armstrong apparenty brought that bike.

I have a B17 on mine, which is what I have lying around in the house cause the original saddle that came with it is uncomfortable as fuck, everytime I go on the Bianchi one, I felt like I've been solomised by Satan.
