Has anyone any experience dealing with TLI (https://www.tlicycling.com). This could be one way for people to race, outside of the BC system. I know racing did (or still does) happen at North Weald, but i have no experience with it myself.

It has been a while since i've been anywhere near a polo court, i am well out of the loop.
Would a group of beginners be welcome at HDowns/Mitch? A few of the women from Velociposse mentioned some interest in giving polo a go. I guess no body rides on brakeless track bikes anymore? So may need to borrow a few bikes and mallets. -

Look at the following - http://ebookings.leevalleypark.org.uk/docs/velopark-terms.pdf
You will be better off with a hire bike though.

Not sure how possible it would be, but if BC insurance and levys are a must, could the meet be classified as a regional C instead of a Go-Race? Would open it up to all the existing lfgss trackies.
Good work so far. Race org is a nightmare, especially with all the insurance hoops and hurdles to get through compared to a few years ago.
If it does remain a Go-Race, i will just get a VDB inspired day license under the name Francesco de Ponte.

FYI.. the advertising is painted on, not a sticker. The coating of which I feel is grippier than the track itself.
There is obviously a minimum speed limit on any banked track. 10mph is verging on too low. Technique can also increase grip. Learning how to weigh the handlebars as well as pedalling with the power gong through the inside foot.
I often say that anyone can ride a track fast. The greater skills is learning to ride it slowly.

One of the kids I coach from the BC City Academies wants a track bike. I have enough parts, apart from the frame, to build him something.
He rides a 58cm. Is 15 years old and probably still growing.
Has anyone got a Precursa kicking around? Otherwise, something similar, ratty and tatty would be okay as long as it isn't too beaten up. He will be riding it on the road as well, to and from school and to velodrome sessions.
