i live in east grinstead, about 25mile away
i normally park my car at park and ride and then cycle into town when crashing at friends etc.i hear there is a track around preston park?
anyway.. if there is anything happening saturday, let me know and ill trip down.
i was chatting to a friend about doing the critical mass on friday and then crashing over at hers.. though im not sure if that will happen yet. -
I did it unofficially a few years ago on not only a BMX but also a massive hangover.
We decided to catch some z's in the park before hand. Found a nice tree to lie under.. but was so frigging cold we ended up getting the whiskey in.If you can keep your cadance up then its all good.. that is until someone stops infront of you.
Once we had finished and found out there was no chance of getting a train back, we ended up cyclign another 15miles back to a main line train station.
That wasnt fun.Sun cream is a given.

Looking for a set of forks. Nothing fancy, as long as they aren't bent or out of shape.
Track forks would be nice if im being picky. Minimal front rake.
With or without brake hole. But no lugs!531.. would be very nice if possible
As for colour.. im going to spray them black so that would save me the hassle
You must have something hidden away..
Paypal/cash waiting.Cheers

if the security guards do quiz you as to what you are doing.
just tell them that its your girlfriends bike and she foolishly lost the keys to the lock..and then say something like " well you know what birds are like mate, would loose their tits if they weren't attached " then he would reply with some equally chauvanist comment and forget you are stealing a bike.

Nitromors... pick up a can for about a fiver, get some gloves and away you go. As for plugging up holes, some tape on the insides would do, you can always get a LBS to spina tap through there to clean it up afterwards. i wouldnt charge more than £7.50 for doing that
I dont think you quite understand the concept of having a fixed wheel. The campy wheels use a freehub, which unless you are planning to bead weld the pawls stuck... i wouldnt really recommend it. Best bet is to get an actual track wheel set with a hub which is all ready for a track cog and lockring. Again there are plenty of shops on ebay with these. Search for "robertociclismo" for cheap s/h hubs.
The dawes will be a standard english b/b size. 68mm stands for the length of the shell. (73mm being the oversized equivalent) the other numbers are the length of the axles. Depending on the chain line i would probably go with 110mm.
Search the net for Sheldon Browns guide to fixed wheel bikes and conversions. pretty much everything you will need to know. Its just too sad that he passed away a few days ago.
I am 21 and have pretty much given up with life down here in Sussex (about 30miles from london and same from brighton). Have been working in a bike shop for a few years but finally decided i needed to get serious and get a proper better paying job... well i have lasted a month at a financial publishers, couldn't really handle working for a large corp.
So im looking ot get a new job and also to relocate myself towards London
So a bit about me, ive studied music technology, really into recording bands and making noise. I ride and fix bikes, fixed wheel, tourers and bmx. I play bass. Heavily into music, favourite bands being small brown bike, defiance ohio, HWM and also some Explosions, Mogwai etc. A nice broad mix.
I am pretty laid back and easy going.
I have been veggie for a couple of years now and have been keeping to the veganism for about 6 months. One of the best things i have ever done.
Anyone know of anything going?
Ideally i want a room in a houseshare that isnt goign to cost more than about £80 a week. And a job which will support me at that room.
Working in a bike shop again would be great :)
Cheers
