Done away with the 26 x 1 3/8 wheels and replaced them with Mavic 719s on alu shelled Sturmey xrd-5 hubs
Nice panasonic tyres. Brooks Saddle.

Good luck with that! Running a race in a public park is hard enough going down the correct channels, doing it outside of permissions is a recipe for disaster.
You can't stop Joe Public and his dog from using the park. the chance of one stepping into the path of oncoming brakeless riders is highly likely.Want to run an alleycat? Make it lowkey. Never call it a race. Simple point to points work well for the fast guys. Treasure/photo hunts work better for the inexperienced.

When the bikes were deliverd they had quite a varied gear range on them. We did what we could at the time to make them all similar. Now a year has passed, chains are due to be replaced so it would make sense to change the gearing over at the same time.
Why 78 on the smallest bikes..? At the moment there are only a handful of bikes with Youth gearing. This would allow for every bike within a youth session to be equally geared.
