some nice rusty brake cables
half a chain
one of those "un-stealable" quick release skewers (the thieves dropped it when the stole my wheels)
and some gaffa tape to hold it all together.

my mum lives in tanzania. the people over there haven't much money to spend, so if they need something they just build it.
apparently you see a few home-made wooden bikes around. even home-made wooden wheels!

i'm currently not riding anything!
someone stole my wheels and i can't really afford to replace them :-(
my plan is to sell the remains of my bike and spend the money fixing up this nice old carlton frame i found in a ditch!
so if anyone has any cheap (i'm an impoverished student) old bits & pieces for sale, gimme a shout.
i want to convert it to single speed and maybe even give fixed a go (which is how i found this forum).
i'd ideally like to use a flip-flop hub with fixed/free gears.
any advice for me?
