Erm... I was going to switch from G-One Allround (w tubes) to tubeless Gravy King Slicks (tubeless). Not because G-Ones are bad ... just because I won’t need the tread much over the summer, that bike sees 90% road. Also G-Ones are a bit easy-to-puncture running with tubes.

Is there a 40mm tubeless slick that comes with the @youramericanlover wink of approval?

Doesn’t make a lot of sense with disc brake wheels. Fast ≠ light and fast wheels aren’t inherently less durable.

Unless your going to run tubular tyres or something.

Just make sure it’s a real club/team/gaggle and collectively come up with your own kit. It’s quite easy and minimums order sizes are pretty small these days.

Chicken Cycles are selling the top Tifosi road frame, with warranty, unpainted via their eBay store. It’s a well regarded frame, 900g light. Not sure how much stock or how many sizes they have.

You could pay for paint, stick Ultegra Di2 some sensible training wheels on it and still save 1k on what equivalent new complete bikes go for (when they’re in stock).
