Almost the end of the year and in light of all this credit crunching was trying to guesstimate my annual spend on two wheels. More than I reckon but less than a yearly travel card. I reckon I'm around £750 down what with buying and selling. Some bargains some rusty drunk purchases...still got a couple more splurges in me though before 2009 ; )

Not trying to take anything away from the build or what you want to do to it for the missus, just making a point that no need to over do it. If I were you leave the drop outs as they are, paint a itnice colour etc and leave the drop out conversion-she'll love you whatever-and don';t forget a basket-women love that shit!

I just came...
GF just saw that post and she was really impressed. Oh I try to tell her it's a serious opinion exchanging forum of bike lovers. She thinks funnily enough that coming over a small picture of a bike is rather sad. I am afraid to agree. god speed you through your later searches tonight through E-bay and god save you shrivelled ball sack after writing 'Pista'
