brick infill stud walls were not uncommon in victorian houses
yes, not uncommon at all and the wall is definitely loadbearing.
I can't really get my head around how everything stays standing.
The big wall plate will be working as a continuous beam spreading the load to the new and existing studs under. There are the same amount of studs as original, albeit not as strong nor as well restrained.
Get a structural engineer in to design a solution to open that up properly.

I have lots of experience with the Terreno Dry (that is actually faster than the Zero) which has the same side knobs. Fantastic summer off road tyre but those side knobs aren't nice cornering on tarmac, however that applies to just about all off road tyres. Specialized Roubaix 30/32 are my go-to winter road-with-a-small-bit-of-off tyre now.

From what I understand, total cost wasn't the issue per se, but the organiser that was in early talks with the UCI only wanted to use Crystal Palace park. The people who now run the park on behalf of Bromley council are now only interested in maximising revenue. See also the reduction in the the number of Tuesday night crits there- it's all music festivals in summer now.

It was good to see you! And was it was only a "podium" because @fredtc has too many watts and snapped his chain at the start...
@RecoveryRide that course was so hard. It felt like no recovery whatsoever.

If I had a tenner for every builder who said to one of my clients I'd be a millionaire. They can never justify their opinions either! I don't tell them how put bricks on top of each other, why do they have to comment on something they have no expertise in either? ARGHHHHH
