could be carbolite but seems to have a microadjust seatpost so it probably isnt, which makes it worth a bit more. still not £250. it seems very mismatched which also doesn't warrant that price. I'd probably pay £150 purely for the sake that it saves the effort of doing your own conversion if you can't be arsed. otherwise , take the £250 and build yourself a much much better one.

different Bangor nimb.
well, I have a crappy halfords apollo (not as bad as the new ones but still not great, there's a photo on the forum somwhere) mountain bike that we got bored and 'fixed'. it may have a super/stupidly low gear when he gets back. he has something similar. he also has that cyclocross style bike he's riding in those pictures. it's quite capable off road (we're not mountain bikers so it will be paths and mud and falling off into both if we go) with knobbly 28's or 35's, can't remember, and a mega low granny gear, that we could also bring if you're serious about joining us.
he's a great guy, has about 13 or 14 bikes at the last count, including a 1920's Raleigh Superbe and a 1940's Raleigh Robin Hood. and a couple of vintage track bikes.

The first half of the ride was flat but everything after starting to head out of Belfast was punishing, well for a lump like me it was anyway. that scenery shot was at the top of a particularly nasty hill, but at least i had gears. the weather and scenery over the last 7 or 8 miles more than made up for it. we were heading south west so whenever we crested a hill it was like we were heading off into an amazing low orange sunset.

i had a lovely ride on christmas eve, me and 2 mates. borrowed my mate's lovely Dawes Galaxy, heavy but very 531. went from Belfast out to Lisburn, from Lisburn to Belfast solely on the Lagan tow path, lovely. through a bit of Belfast to find the newly completed Comber Greenway. Went down that for a couple of miles but were losing light so headed back to Lisburn, across the Knock dual carriageway, through Belvoir, Drumbo and finishing at my mate's house. only about 22 or so miles but bloody lovely.
