In advance of the track day in September I'm hoping to do an induction at HH this Saturday. Any other people inexperienced in the ways of the track fancy joining me?
(Saturday is the only induction session per week, right?)
You can do induction on a Monday night by arrangement.

Motorcyclist survived, and is in hospital with serious injuries - link
The fact that drivers, including a lorry, attempted to squeeze through the scene is pretty appalling.

Bad morning for it this morning. There was a really bad accident between a car and a motorbike on the embankment next to Waterloo bridge too. Motorcycle was ripped in half. Can't see how the biker will have walked away from that one, hope the cyclist faired a little better.
Unfortunately have to agree, the Waterloo Bridge one looked epically bad. Really hope all involved are ok.

See women want tee shirts!
I freaked at the size too, the plastic said medium but the tee said L, but they're fine.
Oh and the pelaton womens tee shirt is stated as black but it is white (which I am very happy about). My pelaton shirt should hopefully be here tomorrow, but still a bit disappointed not to get a womens version of the flashy or rlj t's.
Velocio - is there anyway we can do a small run of tynan designs on womens shirts? Not suggesting that we use the SJS infrastructure again, more ala superprecise's kind of operation, but I'd deffo volunteer some time to the logistics if needed.

What brand of ss cog is being used on the campag freehub? I've only ever seen ones splined for shimano freehubs? Are you sure your knackered wheel is campag?
Edit - looking closer at the wheel it looks like a sprocket taken from a casette. I would think that a sprocket like that wouldn't stand up to singlespeed use too well, what with being ramped too, you really need something beefy and with a shoulder on it like the shimano DX-R cogs (shimano freehub compatible only):
http://www.velosolo.co.uk/shopsingle.htmlIf it helps I run a shimano splined cog (one with a shoulder/foot thing on it to stop it digging into the freehub under pressure) on a Shimano WHR500 rear wheel with spacers from velosolo. Works perfectly, and has never given me a moments grief.

The hubs are fine, they are cheap in the first place because of [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_scale"]economies of scale[/ame], and become even cheaper when On One has a silly sale.
I bought a pair and got them laced into Rigida Chrina rims (super cheap but double walled and eyeletted) and they have built up into a suprisingly strong and stiff wheel for track use at Herne Hill, for a crazy £90/pair.

I'm not sure about all the white, but if you want to do the ghost bike thing maybe just take a white bike up there along with a f*ck off big sign with the names of killed London riders? If your time spot is good maybe you could organise a forum ride that ends at the plinth while you're up there too, having a large group of cyclists arrive en-masse for support would maybe draw some more attention to the message?

Skoota doing a spot of RLJ'ing by the Half Moon in HH on Sunday, flat out and both feet up on the downtube throughout the whole thing. Balls of steel! :D
