Brooks B17 for me was the most comfy ever. But the most stealable also. It was taken away from me directly after i'd worn it in perfectly. That for me is the only negative with the brooks.

i've been thinking about getting someone to make me a satchel like bag but with the extra strap like on a messenger bag. that would be amazing. something that looks quite like 1&2... perhaps the buckles wouldnt work though...

The bearings were gone on my old Miche BB. So I'm installing a new Miche BB right now, .. but i've just tightened the cups and it seems that the turning of the spindle by hand is particularly un-smooth, sort of gritty and difficult to spin... does any one have any idea what is going on? before i put it in the action seemed to be perfectly smooth, so i'm a bit perplexed, it feels less smooth that the one i just took out!...\

he's only got a 4 meter extension cable(i guess tomorrow moring he can get a longer one)... and i think the place he's locked is quite far from a power source... can he have your number? he says if he still hasn't found the keys in a few hours then he'll be serious about the anglegrinding options... and will give you a ring to discus options

YEp, got my scuffed up and peeling black Cinelli Volare SLX saddle + seatpost whipped off my bike last wednesday outside the Shakespeare pub on the corner of Shakespeare walk/allen rd...

they whipped it off in the 10 mins between some of my friends leaving and me leaving, probably while people were out there smoking and milling about...

had been meaning to put ball-bearings onto the allen holes, but hadn't got round to it...

anyone sees it around let me know... the leather was peeling off from the front of the saddle... Just the most comfy saddle i've had for a while, can't have been worth anything in that state!

any news on the southwark bridge crash? Cycled past this morning and it chilled my bones. Really hope whoever it was is pulling through. I cross Upper Thames St every day and always find the traffic too fast and/or the drivers too willing to trundle through amber lights and across the path of the cyclists crossing onto southwark bridge road...

I might come past... i'll need to borrow a mallet, so if there's not enough people i guess there's no point in me coming... what do you think?
