I had a really strange experience the other day with a bus driver. I was going round the lea bridge roundabout in clapton and he sorta jumped ahead and cut me up just where the concrete bit starts so it could have been nasty squishing, and it was completely unnecessary because there was a red so he wasn't going anywhere. I was pretty shocked at his driving so when he got to the bus stop i stopped to have a word. A firm word about how what he had done was dangerous and needless and stupid. and needless to say he blew off the handle and started shouting and threatening to punch me (i'm a girl) by then there was a bit of a crowd gathered and even then he grabbed me and tried to push me over... in traffic. crazy bloke. Ended up cycling really slowly in front of him while he made obscene gestures at me. quite good fun.
got his details, but dont know whether to complain or not, does anyone know whether complaining gets you anywhere?

Sorry, I actually just remembered doing this when some 'do a skid'ed me on Kingsland Road a minute ago. I thought I'd come and check there hadn't been a serious mishap. If I hazily remember rightly it made an awful enough sound for me to immediately shout an apology. Well sorry again.
God though, cracking a chain link!
he he,
No, no need to apologise, i just thought it was funny that my first "do a skid" holler had such disastrous results.
Hi anyway.

last night a hairy male pedestrian down Ridley rd market telling me to do a skid. who are you?
I did one, and it felt a bit odd, and the chain felt funny. This morning i found that i'd managed to crack the power link in half on one side... close shave.
Shall not be drunkenly responding to 'do a skid' geeers in the near future.

I am really tempted by a re-spray.
I have a Fuji track 2008 and would love it to go a nice deep british racing green.
However, you have to take the bike to peices, my technical ablity and lack of tools will let me down.
Any one fancy deconstructing and reconstructing, for a fee?you should post this up in mechanics and fixing somewhere... maybe do it in parts.. find out what BB it's got and borrow that tool(tool borrowing thread)... then the headset is the one you'll need help with... oh, and putting it back together again...
